The date of your ban.

Member of the team that banned you.
Oliver

Reason given for your ban.
Forum Report // OOC Abuse

The Server you initially were banned on.
Teamspeak

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
**I AM POSTING ON BEHALF OF Scott S**

**I have put Teamspeak as the server but it is all servers in game forum, & teamspeak**

I was banned for being very offensive in OOC chat / Teamspeak chat to a police officer called Jordan Naylor, I had an extensive Rp story prepared for the situation me and Mr. Naylor were placed in, when i felt the RP was very lacking and poor i got quite angry and called him and his fellow officers who i cant remember the names of things that i regret. I felt very disappointed at how the RP had gone however this is no excuse for the way i handled it and instead of trying again and again to rp after the first few attempts i just gave up and reverted to immature name calling etc.

Why should we unban you ?
I have grown up a lot since this incident, a lot of stuff that was going on with my life has been resolved and i have genuinely become a calmer, more sociable person rather than the very touchy person i was 2 months ago, a lot of advancements in my life have shown me what i need to care about and what i need to take on the chin and i believe that due to my new job i have learnt a new respect for the people around me. As far as i know i have only had one other ban offence in this community which must have been a year and a half or so ago, i always made sure to bring rp to the community in every situation and most people will tell you that my rp was fun or something like that such as the time i took a police officer hostage after an hour of going clubbing with him and getting him drunk. I love this community and i know ive made a massive f*** up but im really sorry for what ive done and i hope that you can understand that that is genuine, i hope that you will allow me to return to this community and to return to high quality rp within it. I would be quite happy to be placed on a trial unban of sorts if that would make the staff team more comfortable etc, regards, Scott S.

I've spoken to you a few times on teamspeak and i am aware that other staff members have spoken to you regarding your attitude. You do seem to have a very short temper, especially with stuff that you don't agree with. Therefore I ask you, how are you going to act if you are unbanned? If we tell you your wrong, are you going to go off on one again?

Hi Robbie, thanks for the fast reply to my appeal. If I am lucky enough for you to unban me I can promise you that I have been working on my temper and I can assure you that if I am able to rejoin the community.  I would not react angrily or snap at people as I have done in the past. I have recently got a new job, and this has definitely helped me to learn that I am not always right and and sometimes I have to listen and take in what people are saying not just respond angrily with my opinion which is not always right. If you allow me to return to the community then you won't be hearing any complaints about my temper I guarantee that to you, I'll be keeping out of trouble and rather than acting like an immature whinging child you'll recognise that I'll be acting more like my age and being more respectable. If any staff members tell me i'm wrong in a situation then I will listen to what they have to say and rather than arguing with them I will take in what they have told me and adapt my future situations to ensure that they don't have to tell me that I'm in the wrong again, however I'm hoping to lay low in the community and not have any cause to be talking to staff unless its to ask a question of my own,

regards,

Scott S.

What about your comments on the forums?
at some point you had more warning points then the year past months.

Just like my behaviour on the servers, if allowed to rejoin the community you would see a much mature version of me with no inappropriate attitude and with the forum as a whole I will probably be avoiding it as a whole unless to sell / buy items and ask questions and answers. I won’t be receiving any more warning points, I’ve changed since the last time you saw me Jefke, and I won’t need any staff to be worrying about me posting that or the other I am no longer bothered by forum or verbal comments and will be ignoring anything of sorts that would agitate me and acting like the bigger person.

If you let me return then you’ll see that I have changed, I will be able to prove it to you and show you that you no longer have to worry about me in situations as I no longer involve myself in unnecessary arguments and I actually find that the easiest way to end an argument is not to argue back which is the new outlook I’ve taken. I hope that you can see my genuine change and that upon my return (hopefully) you would be able to witness how much calmer I am in person.

Regards,

Scott S

So you've had some sort of dramatic, life changing turn around in what, 2 months? Your warning point history speaks for itself that you're a repeat offender, of the same rule violations, I might add. I won't go into the specifics but I'm sure you're aware you struggled with 12.3-12.5 accruing multiple repeat offences over a 6 month period. The fact you state you're going to be avoiding the forums, says to me at least you haven't changed at all, it screams 'I DON'T TRUST MYSELF TO BE CIVIL AND FOLLOW RULES ON THE FORUMS' surely if you've had this dramatic turn around you're claiming to have had, following the forum rules shouldn't be a struggle? I'm also interested to know why it took a ban across the board to make you realise the way you're acting wasn't appropriate, were you under the impression warning points were issued as jokes?

*Posting this because Niall is away from the forums for a while I believe*

I haven’t had a life changing turnaround just a change of attitude towards situations, the reason I would avoid the forum is not because I couldn’t control my temper it is because I find that the forum is of no interest to me as I only wish to be active in game not on the forum until the time that I may become part of an application team or something of the sort and there is a lot of hostility on the forum that I wish to avoid.  I understand that I have broken these rules in the past but in all honesty the ban has nothing to do with why I’ve changed, things that have happened in real life are the reason I have changed it had nothing to do with this community. I won’t go into details but several things that have occurred in the past month including my new job have allowed me to become a much calmer person as it is in my best interest to remain calm to the people I am working with even when they or I get very stressed due to internal issues such as a required job slot not being taken meaning changes cannot be made.  I understand that you have probably heard the whole “I’ve changed story” before and the only way for me to prove everything that I’ve said is that upon my (hopefully) unban I can promise you I will not receive any more warning points on the forum and if you were to view me at any time on your admin camera while in game you would not hear me being abusive or highly hostile and I believe that if you allow me the opportunity to return you would recognise the change and see that I no longer break any rules. I understand why you may have your doubts about the legitimacy of my unban appeal as you have not been able to speak to me or witness me acting as I claim I would therefore you have no evidence at this time, as I said in my first appeal I would suggest that if you were to unban me you may feel more comfortable if you place me on a sort of trial unban where there are certain regulations for my unban etc.  I hope this helps you to understand that I have changed, not due to the ban, but due to my real life. I am a much calmer and more controlled emotionally person (I believe) and those who have spoken to me recently would probably tell you the same, you would witness this if I was able to rejoin the community that I can guarantee :).  Regards Scott S

I`ve recently been informed by my superiors that this appeal will be denied due to the fact that he needs to take a timeout from our community and  servers in general.

Appeal will be denied, and he can appeal in 6 months time.
