Reason given for your ban.
For attempting to Lockpick a car in a major town

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I got banned for lockpicking a vehicle inside a major town.

Why should we unban you ?
First day on the server today didn't really read through the rules. I've read through all the rules now and got a better overall understanding of all the rules itself. At the time i didn't know that (6.4) You are unable to lockpick or steal vehicles in a green zone (Punishment is a ban) . I wont do this again.

Please confirm this unban request is for you.
Yes

I have read and understand the unban appeal process
Yes

Adding three days to appeal due to being impatient.

Staff review after 11/09/16

Give him another day, please (EDIT: I've added this to the thread-title now). He PMed me with this:

I dont think this is fair at all. In my opinion the thing i did was not a big thing, lockpicking a car? People have been caught for doing a lot worse shit for a longer period of time, Why would he give me 3 days more for asking a simple minded question i think that's power abusal at its' highest point.
By my calculations, that's swearing and unpleasantness (1.3/12.1/13.2), drama (12.3) and impatience (13.1/13.4) - if we really wanted to demonstrate how far we could push 'power abusal'. But I'm going to ask that none of that be invoked - just the one extra day for being a silly, silly boy.

Read the damned rules. They are here to help the WHOLE community play better and have more fun. If reading rules and sticking to them is not your sort of thing, then this is not your sort of place, and you're welcome to leave; but you'll be missing out on a great community and some excellent gaming.

Please don't think you are being singled out. We treat ALL people who behave like you did, the same way. You've managed to increase your punishment by trying to force the issue; that's nobody's fault but your own. And as I've shown above, we're actually pretty lenient sometimes, when dealing with first offenders whose original crime was one of self-imposed ignorance (i.e. they jumped in, and didn't read the rules FIRST). We get that. We like that people are enthusiastic. But just like in RL, if you mess up, you pay a small price. Your time. Not ours.

If you then try and jump the system, short-circuit the process, end-around the team by going to the management and whining, swearing and dissing the staff team, you'll get a little longer in the sin-bin. The first extension should have been your clue to STOP DIGGING A BIGGER HOLE FOR YOURSELF and just sit it out. Take your punishment like a man.

We're busy here - you're not the only pebble on the beach. You don't like it? Find another beach. We have all the drama-queens we can handle already, thanks.

OTOH, when your ban lifts, you're welcome to say "Sorry dudes, I was a plank... and I can see why you did this..." (do NOT try starting threads for this NOW, or PMing people, or you'll just make matters worse), and we'll all go "Yay, good man, come and have fun, now that you've had time to really grok those rules. Welcome back!"

Your call. For now, just can it, Janet.

Okay, topic unlocked.

Why did you not bother to read the rules when you first joined our server?

Arma 3 is not a game that i usually play. It's a game i mostly played years ago for pure combat enjoyment. This thing about Altis Life was all new to me as my friends introduced me to download the game and join them on the server one day before i got banned. I didn't quite know how big and organized the community actually was till i set upon how serious structured website and amount of players you had. It's never been a requirement to follow rules in any other games, that's one of the reasons this didn't come to my mind and because i got so immersed and extremly thankful to play with my friends on the server. I understand that rules should be followed when you have a great community like this or it would fall apart.

I also wanna add that at the moment while i got banned hijacking the car i had around five people around me screaming in their microphones at me couldnt straight hear the words they were saying. @SI Tampax @TinyBigJacko@Crumble

Can you explain the rules that you have broken so far i your own words please.
I lock picked a car inside the greenzone of a town ingame.

I pushed my boundaries and the rules by bumping my appeal thread, arguing about the decisions that were made for me and questioning the sentence that was set for me.

Didn't quite understand how big and vast this whole roleplay community was. Rules are there not to be broken but to be followed accordingly. I pushed it to far and kept digging a deeper hole for myself. I truly understand that.

(6.4) You are unable to lockpick or steal vehicles in a green zone (Punishment is a ban)

(12.3) Creating threads with the intention to cause issues or drama will not be tolerated and may lead to warning points or being issued a ban.

(13.1) Any decision the staff team make is final.
