In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned for playing music over the rpuk team speak and then "advertising" a discord channel. i was just chilling with friends playing music and what not then i put my headset down and made a discord channel quick , then i picked the headset up again full screened team speak and saw that i wasnt in the rpuk ts , in which i thought i just lost connection however i was unaware an admin kicked me from the ts , so when i joined back and went back into the ts room i put up a link for the discord channel we could chill in for a hour or so , i wasnt trying to advertise or sell anything to anyone just wanted to chill with mates thats all. I didnt see madassrubberduck was in the channel in which he moved me out saying im going to get banned for advertising and playing music over ts and that i was already warned not to play it by an admin. However i wasnt warned by an admin to my knowledge unless they tryed to talk to me when the headset was off my head.

Why should we unban you ?
I think i should be unbanned because i dont think i done anyone any harm i was just having fun with friends , then my friends said i could get banned from the ts server if i keep playing music so i said okay well lets just go into a discord channel for a hour and have some fun . So i made the channel however i didnt have my headset on at the time whilst i was making it in which i think an admin warned me in that time to stop playing music however i couldn't hear due to not having the headset on. So when he kicked me from ts i thought i just dissconnected as i didnt have the tab open on my screen at the time so i joined back posted a link to the discord to my mates so we could chill in there in which i was banned for "advertising". All i wanted to do was chill with mates and play music.

(13) Advertising - Advertising any of the following services* on our servers/website/teamspeak or social media groups without permission is bannable without appeal;

You have this rule in place to prevent people from advertising their own stuff and social media. It's also there to stop people abusing the popularity of the server to promote their own social media or product to others. I which i was banned for putting my link in there which anyone could have clicked on and joined my discord even if it wasn't meant for them. 

(14.3) Music is only permitted in music rooms or private gang/faction channels. Anyone caught playing music in public rooms will be warned, kicked or banned.

You have this rule in place so people can join public rooms without having the disturbance of music so they can sit and chill. It's there to prevent people from joining other public channels and being annoying and loud.  The public rooms are there for anyone to join so if it was a new member of the community the first impressions they would get wouldn't be as good due to having music blasted at them.

In this situation i didnt have the intention of causing any harm in which i think no harm was done personally however i understand why these rules are in place. Like i said just wanted to chill mates and when i got told by my mates i could get banned thats when i took the time to go make the discord sever so we could chill their for an hour , i wasnt trying to take away people from the server neither was i trying to advertise in my own opinion.

I think it was just taken out of context and like i said i didnt hear any warning due to not having my headphones on , i wasnt trying to cause any mischief or being a troll. I apolagise to madassrubberduck for playing my music and to what you thought was advertising although i just see it as sending a discord server i could chill with mates for an hour so i dont get banned like this from the server. I apologise to anyone else who thought i was causing harm.

Your intentions do not matter in the slightest, our rules states any attempt to advertise is to be put under scrutiny. Specifically the part that states:

"Teamspeak / Voice Services (example: Discord)"

You mention a good 3-4 times that it's fine because "No harm was done" but in the end of the day, rules are rules, it is mandatory that you comply to them otherwise you will be shown the door (case in point), We tarnish under the same brush in regards to this, even if that was a temporary private discord link, you still violated the rule by posting it on our services.

This is nothing to do with madass "thinking" its advertising... It Was advertising.

That aside my real question to you:

You mention how it's just you chilling out with your mates and what not, you failed to mention how you were asked at multiple intervals to cease playing the loud music.. why did you decide to not mention that?

I understand that i violated the rules and that rules are rules at the end of the day and that's why i said and mentioned that i understand why the rules are in place.

 To answer your question like i said when someone told me i could get banned from TS because i played music i made the choice to make the discord in which i took my headset off to make it. I was also with friends and drinking so i wasn't all there with it and not thinking everything through , however i only made the discord to avoid the ban for this very reason. I wasnt trying to steal anyone from the server etc... I play on this server everyday and use the services it provides and im almost certain ive played pretty much my whole 1000+ hours on this server.

I didn't have my headset on most of the time i wasn't (to my knowledge) warned by an admin i was only warned by my friend in which i did state. In which i believed i turned the music right down however it was a rough night so my memory is a bit faded. But to my knowledge i wasnt in the ts much longer until an admin arrived. In which i turned the music off.

You mention now that you were drinking with friends, this I am starting to rather doubt as there is no mention of this at any point either from your own appeal or from the ban notes. So if I or any other staff believe that you continue to lie to us we will end the appeal there and then and waste no further time on you. You are on very thin Ice considering you were unbanned not yet even a month ago, hell you were banned on the 23/08 then unbanned on the 27/08 and looking at that appeal I see "i'm not here to cause trouble just my own fun and enjoyment." huh... here for your own fun and enjoyment but it seems by doing so you do it by annoying others as well so infact you are here to cause trouble and hell looking back at that ban as well your attitude is horrendous with that I'd expect from a child trying to irritate others as much as he can.

Tell me, what on hell did you not learn from your last ban to more closely follow the rules as stated to you?

Why is there such a lack of common sense that even if you were drunk and I believed you why did you think it was a good idea to come on and piss about like that with no regards, do you not have any self control? Do we need to keep a close eye and leash on you or better yet instead of staff wasting their time doing so why don't we just keep you in the pit out of sight and out of mind?

Now there is something else that is truly bugging me a lot... you say you made the discord link to avoid being banned as you were "told by someone"(Then in the second quote's answer you say "warned by a friend" that you could get banned for playing music, yet you CONTINUE to play music and put your headset down. As I said in my first statement in this comment, Cut. The. Crap. I see any more half lies/truths or just lies and you can enjoy the bigger pit. Wise up. There are more holes in your whole appeal now than there are warnings on your profile, of which is there a fair few. 

And I see you decided to link both rules in your appeal and an "explanation" which is pisspoor anyway so since you've put that in alongside the above you can re-answer both of them and actually put effort into them and not effortless one line sentences.

I don't see the need to lie to anyone. I didn't want to put the fact i was drinking in the post because i didn't want to use it as an excuse. Yes my friend warned me and like i said i wasn't thinking clearly and put the headset down made the discord and then joined back to the ts room and was moved out by an admin in which this all happened in about 30 seconds . In no rude way , At no point do i remember being rude to staff members as you said my attitude was horrendous, iv'e only been calm and complaint and haven't denied any wrong doing iv'e done. Iv'e said my apologies to both staff and members of the community. Iv'e made a fair few mistakes in my time on RPUK but im only human at the end of the day , we make mistakes. I only joined the ts to talk to other friends on the server. In my house i even had people round drinking with me in which Madassrubberduck heard . I will edit the post of my "explanation" why you have the rule in place and put more effort in. I don't know what enjoyment or fun i would get out of pissing people off and being a troll because thats not my character. I didn't really see the fact sending a discord link to my friends as "advertising" thats why i put it in the group chat because its a quicker way the sending it to them personally.

Wonderful, and some information has been passed on by Madass that he had heard indeed someone mentioning you should stop drinking and asking why you were on while drunk but you also managed to keep your RL friend from trying to stir shit up.

So my concern now is in the future, if you plan on drinking this much again will you come on teamspeak/gameserver and if so can you actually keep yourself a lot more wiser? Or will you do the more smarter thing and stay away from the gameserver and quite likely the teamspeak as well if you have drunk so much. Notice as well I am not saying to avoid while drinking but rather when you are at that point that you seem to be barely aware of what you are even doing. The staff won't there to babysit nor should be expected from any either so if you plan on drinking I advise you ensure you have at least a more sober friend to keep an eye and preferably not the RL one you had as does not seem like he is such a great character so from what I gather, not when drinking at least.

Yes that's perfectly fine i think to avoid this happening again im not going to drink while on the TS and the live server and just want to say my apologise as you probs have better things to do than deal with me being an idiot so im sorry for that.  Im sorry about my RL friend as well. Obviously i didnt mean for to end this way and i feel bad as i feel like i wasted your time , so i send my apologise again and will behave better in the future.

Importantly, you have had 2 bans and 3 other warnings in the last month or so.... this does little to convince us that you "will behave better in the future".

Why should we waste our time with you when you clearly have no respect for our rules?

I do have respect for your rules even though you may not think or even better me not showing it. I genuinely was trying not to break the rules and then when i had too much too drink i was just out of it , pretty much not thinking or knowing what i was doing. Then when i tried to avoid breaking the rules i cocked myself up by posting the link to the discord (which was meant for friends only) into the public room as it was easier than sending it to them one by one , however regardless i shoudn't have put it in there. I dont know what else to say but give you my word that im not here to cause trouble .

Considering your previous bans and notes on record, I have a very hard time justifying un-banning you. You were the one who made the conscious decision to drink and remain on Teamspeak even before you were fully "out of it".

You've told us that you wont be mixing RPUK and Alcohol in the future which would be a wise decision, but considering all the warnings you have against you, it's fairly clear to us that you don't seem to want to listen to staff.

Your past really lets you down.

My concern is not only that you'll end up drunkenly advertising Discord servers, but also that you'll continue your streak of bans for other reasons that happen ingame, answer the following in detail.

Can you honestly say that you're aware of the rules?

Will you make an effort to abide by the rules in an effort to prolong your time here?

You understand that this is now your third ban on record and that any further "Slip-ups" will likely be met with much harsher consequences?

Yes I can honestly say I am aware of all the rules that are currently in place and that last night I went through all the rules once again one by one. I’ve been through them all and have read them out to myself so I can assure my self to stand by the rules at all times . I will do my very best to stick by these rules.

i will make a great deal of effort to abide by the rules at all times , I play on the server and use the services it provides everyday and I wish to be here for the further future RPUK provides . I’ve spent a great deal of time on RPUK which pretty much takes up all the hours I’ve slent on arma 3(1000+) and I wish to continue my time here . I wish that I didn’t do these things to get me in this position so anything to prolong my time here I’m up for it.

I understand that this is my third ban and that much harsher consequences will be given if I revive another ban and that I will try my absalute best to avoid this happen again . Hopefully there will not be a next time so I can continue to have fun and interesting RP with other members of the community.

So if we unban you, which still may not happen, it will come with the caveat that if you break any other rule, however minor, you will be perm banned and will not be able to even appeal for 6 months, and then it will have to be via a Perm appeal.

Does this sound fair to you or are we being unreasonable?

I think it’s more than fair and not unreasonable at all , and I acknowledge that the consequences of getting another ban no matter how minor it may be it will be met with a perm ban and I won’t be able to appeal for 6 months and after the 6 months I would have to appeal via the perm ban appeal. Hopefully this situation will not happen again and I can have a great time playing and interacting with other RPUK’ers .

Alright, I can not stress you enough that no matter what rule you break from now on, whether it is big or small, will result in an immediate permanent ban (6 months appeal). This is the only warning you shall get on the matter.
