Reason given for your ban.
Running around Kavala saying "sir get out your car" and then opening fire on anyone who passes. Done multiple times.

I think I was banned because you cant go round robbing everyone you see.

Why should we unban you ?
Firstly, I made proper initiation before firing, I didn't just say "get out the car".
Second, I had done this twice and killed one person, I don't really believe this should be a permanent ban.
Third, I had asked other players and seen other players do the same and they haven't received a ban.
I would also like to add that the rules state "(7.1.4) Killing someone must be carried out with high roleplay, put your hands up or i will shoot etc is considered low RP and may lead to a ban for RDM." It doesn't give a good example as to what you should say this leaves some players clueless, I believe this should be changed to avoid confusion.

You posted a question on how long bans are 5 minutes ago. Yet here you state you have read the rules. Please forgive me for not believing that. (Yes, I know, I am a real mean person who should trust people more.. I would as well, if this wasn't the Internet..)

So, how about this. I will edit the title into: Look into on may 6th. In that time, you should go actually read the rules. Instead of just lying to finish your appeal quickly and filling in yes. We take our unban appeals seriously and just saying you read the rules isn't gonna cut it. We need to actually believe you did. So, go read, young padawan, and increase your knowledge! Expect some tricky questions when this appeal will be dealt with as well, so study hard!

Look into on may 6th due to user opening appeal 5 minutes after asking how long his ban was, clearly did not read the rules.

Khandamir has offered you some good advice, I would suggest you take it.

In the mean time, let me address your post. Specifically the 'why should we unban you' part.

You say we should unban you because a) you gave proper initiation and didn't just say "get out the car". b) you did it twice, and don't think it deserves a perm ban. c) other people have done the same.

So, a) Here is a video, and yes, you're right, you did say more than "get out the car". You said "yo go ahead and get out the vehicle", and then opened fire.

b) Breaking a rule even once can be deserving of a perm ban. I watched you do it once, and was unhappy. When you did it again, I figured you would only continue.

c) Because other people break rules, that does not mean you are free to. We expect you (and indeed warn you) to read the rules before playing. We cannot be responsible for your ignorance of the rules. 

So, all in all you have given no good reason to be unbanned.

Thanks to Khandamir you now have some time to read the rules, and write a better thought out reason as to why we should unban you. 

 
Ok, I will take the advice given I would just like to say.

Looking back on it I thought, I had said more but obviously not, I am sorry to the people I had killed in this situation and I am happy to give compensation to whatever they have lost.

OK, due to the nature of the game, I cannot list every possible example of poor RP/Fail RP/RDM/Attempted RDM, however I can give you a few.

"Put your hands up or I will shoot"

"Get out the car or I will shoot"

"You have x seconds to comply or I will shoot... 3, 2, 1 ..."

Or even just running up so someone, knocking them out, robbing them and running off.

All of those are examples or Fail RP, and if threats are carried out and shots are fired, it could be viewed as RDM or attempted RDM.

There will be countless more phrases that could be included. It's very simple to avoid these situations by RPing. Running through town making everyone your target is entirely unacceptable, especially when so little RP is given in exchange for their hard earned gear, or indeed life. 

The same could be said of road blocks. If you block the main road, and rob everyone that comes by with very little, or low quality RP, the same applies. To avoid this, spend some time on the job. Have a well thought out plan. Talk to your victims, give them a story as to why you are robbing them, give them a chance to comply, and do your best not to kill them unless entirely necessary.

I hope this helps to clear things up.

If you had read and understood the unban appeal process (found here) you would have known the answer. In future do not say you have done something when you clearly have not.

This appeal will be reviewed on or after the 6th of this month.

I am sorry for breaking the rules and I have re-read the rules and am confident I wont do it again, I will contact a staff member next time I see someone else break rules

Going forward Josh, how do you intend to perform robberies if we decide to unban you? 

 
In future robberies (if I get unbanned) I would make sure I am in a quiet place and no'one is around, I would initiate on the person I'm robbing slowly and move with caution followed by me saying "Put you hands in the air!", If I was in the middle of a road I would bring him into the back of a house or in an ally, I would then take his money and there stuff. Plus I would make sure they are not in a vehicle so they cant drive and tell the police.

 
Depite my better judgement I will issue you with an unban, however @JoshEvans, I highly suggest you go and read the rules again. All of them. Even the forum and teamspeak rules. 3 times now you have broken them, and if another lands you with a ban it is very unlikely you will be coming back from it.

I expect you to up your level of roleplay, and do not take killing or shooting so lightly.
