I got banned for killing two officers that killed one of my friends/ my partner, although i knew some of the rules I didn't understand that I could get a ban for that as i witnessed my friend getting shot after he shot at them

Why should we unban you ?
I think I should be unbanned because I didn't know that was something to get banned over as I am new to Arma and also RP games, Now I have read through the rules i have found out a lot about Altis Life and I'm sure I wont make that mistake again. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please explain the RDM rule in your own words

 
RDM stands for Random Deathmatch, or basically killing without a reason in a RP situation. People get upset because they get killed and blame it on RDM, when really, in a roleplay perspective, you can kill if someone making you feel unsafe, attacking you, threaten to damage you in any way.

So if you saw someone walking around with a gun out you'd shoot them?

 
No I'd either approach them and tell them to put the weapon down, call for the police services or just ignore them.
