In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
It's been over 2 years since I was banned. I was banned for a suspected RDM. From memory I was engaged in a gunfight after a robbery with my duo when a police showed up, due to this I ran away, my buddy began fighting the cop and I started a flank, just before I engaged he died so the cops didn't realise I was with him and assumed I was rdm. After the incident, I went to the TS, however, I had no video evidence as I didn't have shadowplay at that time.

Why should we unban you ?
I have tried many other communities, however, I have found the roleplay to be subpar and the rules not being enforced, very hard to actually hold conversations with other players without being told hands up or Ill shoot straight away. Just finished the sixth form and looking to go to uni, haven't played much arma in the past year and I want to get back into it. I have matured over the past two years and have lost my squeaky voice. I think I will be a valued member of the community once again.

I didn't realise that my ban appeal had been replied to, answers to the questions in previous thread;

'Why have you decided to come back? What are you planning to do.In the same response i want you to read the rules, find and quote us the rule you broke and explain why we do have such a rule.'

I have spent a long time away from arma and I wish to return to a community where I can roleplay without the risk of just being killed without sensible reason which I have found on other servers. Before I used to roleplay as an undercover cop which I feel was an addition to the server as it allowed some funny situations to play out. I wish to return to the server to try this role and pursue other characters to roleplay.

I cannot find the specific rule with the combat timer that was mentioned at the time however the general rule I broke was this;

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban).

The reason you have this rule is to prevent the server from becoming a team deathmatch, the key factor of the server is roleplay and this rule is here to protect and preserve this, allowing players to create 'interesting stories' instead of just being killed on sight.

So what has changed in the past 2 years? 
and why did it took you 2 years to appeal, As you say the rp here is better? 

 
After getting banned I stopped playing roleplay on arma as this was the only server I invested in, shortly after I left my realsim clan and discontinued playing arma all together to focus on my studies. I have used these two years to mature myself and decided to try arma rp again, having been banned from this server I tried a few others before realising the most beneficial thing for me would to try and get unbanned, I hadn't looked into it previously as I didn't think I would have a chance, however my friend persuaded me to try.

If you were to be unbanned, you would be expected to follow to the letter.

 
I have read through the rules thoroughly and will follow them to the letter. However, I am wondering what Poseidon is as this is new to me.

 
@CakeMiner124 When coming here to do your unban appeal, it is important to tell the truth. If you like about one thing, how can we trust that you dont just lie about the rest? You might be wondering, what have you been lied about? Well..

You say that you quit playing ARMA 3 Roleplay servers and that you later quit playing ARMA 3 all together, but I can see on your activity that you never really took any break, none major ones in any case. You've been on multiple roleplay servers and others aswell. As mentioned before, if you lie about one thing, how can we trust you with the rest?

 
I'm not trying to be untruthful, I haven't played Arma significantly in the past two years compared to before the ban. Im not sure where this gametime can be found as I have been looking for this information myself. The only other rp server I have played in similar amounts is [REDACTED] which I have played on recently but not enjoyed.

If given the chance I would make sure to follow the rules to allow me to prolong my time in the community. I guess the end goal really for me is to try and get back into arma and I think this community If I am given the chance will allow me to do so without all the bullshit and fail rp ect. I have left it nearly two years before attempting to get unbanned an I wish I had done it sooner tbh.

 
We'll be giving you another chance. Make sure that you provide quality roleplay before you decide to shoot someone, or you will end up here again. Do not fuck it up.
