I allegedly 'combat logged' but, as you can see from the end of the video, I died. I did not quit to avoid combat, thus I did not combat log! This is my friend's footage as I do not record footage but the point remains that I died and did not combat log.

I will be handling the appeal of your pending deportation from the island.

reviewing your video, did you log off while waiting for a medic, or did you respawn and log off. The rules do not state that it's only in combat, but also logging while waiting for a medic is against the rules as well.

Devvo who killed one of you was me! You disconnected right after that video, which is merely a few seconds. In my eyes you've potentially combat logged to save any gear you have on you from disappearing. Your friend did the same.

EDIT: Clearly as you and your friend have used the same video, which has been conveniently cut off before either of you 'respawn' I am 100% confident you disconnect a couple of seconds after being killed.. Which I witnessed in the feed on the left hand side anyway, hence why I issued the ban.

3 points:

Firstly, you said, "In my eyes you've potentially combat logged to save any gear you have on you from disappearing." If I had wanted to save my gear, I would not have engaged in combat. I would have alt+f4.

Secondly, If I cared at all about my gear, I would not have asked for my character to be reset at the start of this month. See link:



Thirdly, I did log off the server shortly after I died, as you commented.  But, before logging off I respawned! 

The process between dying and having the option to respawn is not long, seconds rather than minutes.

Regardless if you recently asked for a reset is irrelevant.

There's no video evidence to exonerate you as it does not show you a respawn. Also it takes at least up to 30 seconds before you can respawn. It's not a few seconds.

@Liquid did you see a body and then the player has logged out message?

Thing is, if you die and then quickly log off before the 30 seconds timer is out and you can respawn, it still classes as combatlogging since it most of the times will save your gear.

We will await @Liquid to try and be sure, but I agree with the soldier it's convenient your video cuts out before the alledged respawn. And all our admins know how long it takes before you can respawn, sync data and log off. And if they thought you had done what you said, waiting and respawning, you would not have been banned. If it took only seconds, you did combatlog. And I'd advise you to be honest about it, since we will find out. And combatlogging is a ban with NO appeal, so I'd rethink your position in the matter and consider honesty.

The reason I issued the ban is I witnessed them log out almost immediately after I personally killed them.
