In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I thought VDM was the same as RDM - aka i did not realise running someone over someone who was shooting at me (to escape) was not allowed - I should of paid more attention to detail in the rules

Why should we unban you ?
I joined the community in 2015 and have many hours without incident and this was a one time mistake. I have learnt from this mistake and honestly i miss the server a lot - It is the only reason I play Arma. I have made many friends on this server, I have formed a small gang called Altis Republican Army - we roleplay as rebels robbing people - involved in drugs, and personally I like relaxing to some diamond mining. My current goal is saving enough money for an advanced rebels license and I really want a Huron

I am serious about this server and hope i can be given another chance because I feel, and I think many other people would believe I add quality roleplay and content to this server and I continue and hope to benefit my role playing skills and character.

So you have been here since 2015 and only now learned that VDM is not RDM?

This seems rather odd, seeing as they are quite clearly separate rules. Are you saying you read all the rules and missed this one?

 
I thought it was related and in regard to OOC behaviour such as RDM - if there was a situation where someone had initialised on you I thought it did not matter - after this re-reading the rules I get a more different perspective on quote "Using any vehicle as a weapon" and see it was unacceptable regardless and I can only apologise for the inconvenience because I missed a key detail of ruling.

Regarding being here since 2015 and not realising this is because I don't use vehicles as weapons regardless because id rather escape - this occasion was an exception and I must repeat, was unaware IC use was against the rules and if I was given the chance to play on UKRP again would look for other ways to handle the situation. 

I believe this can only make me a stronger member of the community given the chance

How many other rules have you misunderstood?

If you were indeed fleeing, you could have driven straight away, rather than purposefully driving round and round to run them over (slowing your escape).

You will need to convince us that you now understand this (and all other) rule(s).... describe how you would RP the following scenario:

you are doing an illegal run in your truck, and someone comes up to you just and has a gun on their back, they start talking to you, asking what run you are doing, and how profitable it is etc, then they decide to rob you, so get their gun out.... you are next to your truck, within distance of jumping in... what do you do? [hint, give plenty of detail, even a few different options].

Look, I do not have the time to keep checking this thread and submitting to admins on a power trip... to make sure I have replied within three hours of a response or this whole process will have to start again? Sure I can put time down on my own terms but for three days I have been keeping an eye on this thread ever few hours apart from sleep and now you want me to explain roleplay scenarios? Whats next? Both of your posts talk down to me and make me feel very unwelcome here. I got banned for running someone over who practically was RDMING by your own rules. It was very poor quality roleplay - chasing a moving vehicle and shooting at it? I already explained I misunderstood the ruling as OOC VDM and thought if it was IC, with a reason - nobody would blink an eyelid - and taking into account I have been here from 2015 - Is there anything to suggest this rule break was intentional or ill mannered?  

It is frustrating a long time in a community I enjoyed seems to be coming to an end of no real fault or control of my own other than special snowflake rules which mean its perfectly OK and IC to chase and shoot at a moving truck - but im banned for failing to provide an immersive role play experience by not stopping? I thought role playing about playing assigned roles in a realistic way where as to act fear, such as the fear of death that may drive you to keep driving instead of stopping for someone with ill attentions to you. 

About me for a second... I am 22 years old, I have a life and other responsibilities - I have a baby girl due in December. I am a indie developer currently working on my own 2D RPG inspired partly by game play based on zelda/pokemon as well as MMO elements from runescape. I am also working on my own SAMP RP server, among all this I like to spend time outdoors socialising with friends. I have put lots of hours into UKRP, its quite addictive at times but as you can tell I am actually busy and I wish I had more time but before you know it we will all be grey and old !

I will instead point you to a video of the situation in subject also leaving a link to the thread of the player who reported me to show their side of the story. I hope you will take this footage and realise the time and effort I have put on this thread and unban me - and also understand I simply can not waste any more time on this ban appeal. If you are in motion in a vehicle with some velocity behind it and someone chases you on foot telling you to stop would you stop? If you could not continue to go forward and had to turn around running your attacker over would you?

There was a incident before the situation in subject what the attacker claims was the reasoning - Someone ran in the road and arma being arma done its vehicle glitchy stuff and I stopped incase anyone wanted to roleplay the attacker did nothing and ignored the chance to roleplay with another player and so did I - but as most times at kavala people get hit by a car, get up and continue. As most times, people crash by accident - a real accident - They drive off before you can roleplay. People are just very light with RP surrounding the greenzone to which I am in no control of

The real question is why did Newbold pick not to roleplay? but moments later suddenly wants to perform some bad quality RP that quickly escalated to him attempting to shoot at me? Why did he then report me after RDMing me? To me it seems Newbold is the one who is adding bad quality roleplay to the server in this situation and picking and choosing when to roleplay to suit his desire to RDM.
