Turtle Poaching

Does turtle poaching still work? Because I found a couple of turtles, shot them with a SDAR. Then I tried to harvest them using the Interaction key but it didn't work. If it's working what am I doing wrong? And if it isn't working will it ever be fixed?

Yeah I would like to have an answer. If it doesn't work why are the traders etc still on the map then?

Yup it's fucked, wasted 2 hours going to black market to get an SDAR, back to kava last to then get RDM'd then again to blackmarket to buy another SDAR, back to Kavala to then shoot a turtle and no way to pick up the meat
