We have all been there, as hobos in the server. As community members we need to teach hobos the way of ALUK and highlight the rules of the servers instead of being a dick towards the players that are new here. Most of them have come from either Exile, wasteland or rebels servers and to show a completely another server that cares about the community instead of being hostile will be a massive point towards the new once. That kind of gameplay will one dicover alot of good peolpe willing to play within the rules of the server. Let everyone of us improve our way to learn new players to adust to an adult community.

I am more than happy to help new players that are genuinely here for a new experience within A3 and want to roleplay.

In retrospect the trolls that run around screaming f*** the police, being abusive and racist or vdming,  then it's a different story.

Preach it!

I hate seeing some hobo break NLR to get executed again for breaking NLr and then rise and repeat... Does that actually help? No! Restrain+ sit in car and explain the rule!

As he said, everyone starts somewhere. I remember having a question about Arma when I first played and I'd say to a cop 'officer I have this game called Arma 3 on my computer, how do I do this?'

You were such hobo :)

Hobos are scarier than cops & rebels put together. I always run from hobos who jump out their cars with a pistol drawn in kavala square.

Are ya allowed to do this? Ive been told not to by many staff n member support..

Just want to point out, because someone is breaking rules, doesn't give you a right to break rules. So if you RDM someone for breaking NLR, you yourself may end up in trouble.

You shouldn't, however if you ask OOC// if you can break roleplay and they do then you can. Otherwise restrain, put in a car and drive them to a field and leave them.

Leave them all the way down in the fields where the hobo cannot be found by more hobos

So if you were to do the below then would you get banned? As I can't see any reason for a ban

I've done a similar thing with new players and used the vehicle chat to explain to them various things. If they're brand new, some of them don't quite get the whole RP thing and it can be difficult to convey rules etc to them in an RP manner and have them understand what you're talking about. I always explain something to them in the vehicle, then make sure they know that when we jump out and go into Direct that they need to be in "RP Mode", then we jump back in the car to discuss how it went. I always make sure we're way out in the middle of nowhere so we don't disturb any other people, or people dont run into us while i;m trying to show someone how it all works in an RP game. Otherwise you can end up with a new player who doesnt know how to react in RP or doesnt understand the situation. And I clarify that once their 'Survival Training' is over, it's all RP all of the time and if they slip up they just need to make sure they cover themselves quickly so it doesnt break the experience too much.

I managed to get myself Spectated by @DainMK(i think) one time doing this and he didnt seem to mind. Even when the new guy accidentally shot me in the chest without RP. With my own gun.

I always 'RP' it to them as taking them on an Outdoor Survival Training course with modules in Material Gathering, Self Defence, Occupations, Island hazards etc. Then I get them a licence, a car, make sure they know how to turn on/off mouse steering so they dont immediately VDM everyone etc. I try to explain that while a gun is handy to have - owning one may draw them in to more undesirable situations, and for their first start on the island they might want to explore everything the legal civ route has, before starting on their life of crime.
