Due to recent events on the server and forum (some more dramatical than others), I would like to remind everyone here that this community is not here to fuel your personal ego, yes sometimes administrators do something you disagree with, but they have worked hard to make this community what it is today, anyone who thinks differently is welcome to leave and enter one of the many (SHIT) servers floating around on Arma 3. Think you can do better? Go ahead and try.

A friend of mine who was banned tried to get me to try out other servers, I can from personal experience say that there is nothing near ALUK for miles to go, unless you feel that being metagamed for your name, then texted while driving to pull over or get shot is fun and serious roleplay, I don't think you'll find a roleplay server like this one. You people who think this server relies solely in you and your friends support could not be more wrong. YOU are not special, I am not special, what IS special is the community that we have and are building together.

I have had friends that have been banned, does that make me have to leave the server? Obviously not, does it mean I have to leave my friends? Obviously not. What you may have to do is step back and say you do not condone their actions, but it doesnt mean you have personal disagreements with them. This is not YOUR community, this is not MY community, this is OUR community, because we together are what make ALUK great, don't let one group of people ruin it.

I would like to finish of my rant with one of my favourite quotes to all you out there who disagree with me and believe that ALUK is your personal playground, and the administrators and other members should give you special privileges for paying attention in class, and let the punishment slip when you try to disolve the community.

As we can see here, Lecter is clearly slowly descending into madness as his closest friends all join the police force, or spam the forums instead of talking to him on teamspeak.

For just 3minutes a month you can save this man. Go and say hi, keep him sane...

          Yes we are.

  • Would this server be good if we weren't?
          No.

  • Did we ban over a thousand/s players cleaning up the street for the real roleplayers?
          Yes.

In the end of the day we let people appeal a ban because no one is perfect and almost everyone deserves a second change. 

A lot of blood, sweat and tears were put into this community, and i cannot be prouder of what it become, dramas come and go but we stay.

You can change to other servers or communities, but i can guarantee it's not going to be as good as ALUK. Why? Besides all the work we put on the background, all the people out there make the server perfect for new hobos or veteran roleplayers, makes it enjoyable for everyone.

That's why some servers benefit us, we are the #1 source of banned players for other servers, but we won't stop making Altislife.co.uk the best community to be in.
