The long awaited United Nonconformist Military Corps (UNMC) has infiltrated Altis and is currently in the process of establishing their base. Composed of former and defected members of the Altis Armed Forces and foreign fighters the UNMC are opposition forces to the 2026 Kavala coup d'etat following a bloody civil war. Their current identities remain unknown except that their leader goes by the code name "Sovereign". Several years later the forces of NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and CSAT(Canton Strategic Protocol Alliance Treaty) held a a brutal war for influence over the island of Altis. NATO forces claiming victory did not end their occupation of Altian land.
Instead the United Kingdom claimed Altis as a colonial territory under the jack booted junta thugs that enforce crown authority upon the once independent citizens. Following the occupation the British installed government put a stronghold on the island for it's strategically valuable resources and military position in the Mediterranean Sea. Corruption soon followed as the fascist regime began to be involved with criminal elements operating on the island.
The crime and murder rate sky rocketed as cocaine became the primary black market export of the island as the Mayoress of Kavala lined her pockets with blood money. Following an economic crisis and rioting the criminal element of the island revolted and instituted a lawless sector on the large eastern peninsula which became known as the red zone. To cover up the failings and corruption of their administration the regime siphoned off the newly instated healthcare budget for arms an ammunition to reclaim lost territory. Upon reaching a funding goal a private military firm was contracted to send two AMV-7 Marshal APCs to take part in an assault to reclaim Pyrgos and the outlying regions in the East.
Following a there slaughter in Pyrgos and it's media repressed cover up the regime assumed it was back in control as the revolting criminal elements were pushed into the smaller southern peninsula on the island. For the past month the fascists have contained them and reclaimed the second largest city on the island as well as the diamond,iron, and salt resources of the island. This ongoing seemed to be coming to an end.
