Welcome to the Altis QuadBike Championships

We held our Second event this evening which was live streamed by Goatie (link Below) The winner of tonights championship was SIMPAN Congratulations! (he smashed it)       http://www.twitch.tv...oatie/c/4103045 (new link up soon)

The event will be held every sunday evening (times will change so watch this topic + in game messages on the day) at the go cart track next to the airport near athira.

The rules are as follows..

There is a buy in fee of 5k that will be held by me (D0MMYD/ Dr. VonBeagle) on the day untill the end of the event and most importantly a quad bike will be required :D

The race will consist of two laps made up of four racers, 1st and 2nd will go through to the next round. These races will continue untill we are left with four finalists who will battle it out in a 6 lap race to win 100k plus the 5k buy in fee from all the other racers.

This is a fun and peaceful event, violence will not be tolerated. The Altis PD will hopefully be around on the day of the race to keep the peace.

So get your Quadbikes started and practice thoses handbrake turns...

Players who are wanting to enter the race if you could please post your in game player name below so it will be easier come race day to get the races sorted faster :D (although its not nessesary you can just rock up on the day)

 
What's up guys!

The second AQBC will be held this Sunday at 9pm!

 
So today's the day guys! 9pm this evening the second AQBC kicks off! Remember when you arrive at the track to come and see me (dr. Von beagle) to pay your entry fee of 5k and then you'll be put in a waiting area untill it's time to race :D

The police will be at the event so don't be alarmed when you see them :) also I've been told by the police that anyone with a gun out around the event will be dealt with :eek:

I will be there again ready with my camera to cover the event. I just hope my video editor doesn't derp out when it's time to edit the video. I will of course also be streaming again but when the event starts I will remove my facecam just so we got a clean backup video if my editing program fails.

I did a small test in the Arma editor so I know I can land on the small tin roof with my hummingbird. I can get a pretty good view of the whole track from there. If anybody wish to come with me on the tin roof and act as a commentator for the event feel free to do so :)

And when you say 9pm I guess it's BST(British Summer Time).

God dang it. I really wana come along again, last week was just a fun time, but I'm heading out for a drink.

Just a warning to any on duty police that may show up again this week; keep an eye on your squad cars ;) 1 may have.. went missing last week.

 
haha that was funny as but this week theres going to be police road blocks, spike strips around track and sniper overwatch just incase haha

Was a very fun event, congratulations to Simpan for winning the grand prize of 550k.

 
I've finally made the highlight of the race and am now just waiting for Twitch to upload it to my YouTube channel. The reason it took me so long to make the highlight is because I wanted more ArmA action so I decided to play some good ol' DayZ Epoch just to get into it a bit again.

Will update this post as soon as the video is up and public on YouTube(want some analytics) :)

I will also make a fancy signature banner later for the AQBC I can use. If anybody else feels like stealing it and using it for themselves feel free to do so ;)

Ah, seems like I need to have 50 forum posts before I can make a signature. Good choice to prevent signature spam.

Buuut, here's the signature banner as promised. Pretty simple but I hope it gets the message out :)
I might also bake up a small 88x31 button people can use instead to lessen the page loading time and all that stuff(hazards of being a former website programmer myself).
