This is going to come as a shock to probably everyone who know's me well on the server, but sadly I will be setting sail from the glorious isle of Altis to the realms of real life. Will I be back one day? I hope so, but unfortunately the future is an uncertain master and I don't know exactly where I'll end up.

I've finally come to the realisation that my lethargic attitude can no longer continue, with my impending mortgage and my lamentable middle age I need to drastically change my lifestyle. I put off the things I've needed to do for far too long and today is the beginning of the middle of my life. Time to get my half broken body into shape, updating my qualifications and start moving into the dark and soulless world of IT contracting.

I want to say a few personal thanks to people, this unfortunately might take a while:

  • @Cutter doesn't get a mention, because he smells and I speak to him pretty much every day regardless of what I'm doing.
     
  • The old guard: @MaddogMK, @Al P. @Damocles (Plus all your friends), @meow you guys joined us right at the very beginning of the Marmite Miners and helped us massively in making us what we are today. Other than meow, you're all pretty much inactive these days and probably won't read this, but if you do, thanks so much for what you did for the gang. Also @Proxeum, the early days of the Marmite Miners wouldn't have been the same without good ole AEGIS watching our backs. Also @PaulS, we didn't have a huge amount of encounters, but I'm still glad I got the chance to know you.
     
  •  Generation M (for Marmite obviously!): @simsy, @Nikolai Bilzerian, @Lucas :), @FriendlyFire (Scarlet), @Steven Seabass, @Papa Hedge, @Axolotl, @Sycorax, @Billy Bob (I hope this is Tom), @John Payne, @Leedslad, @Larosa, @Cogmaster, @Chris Robinson, @Ambassador Fung, @Mickeey, @WhoisDan. You guys will always be in my mind the reason I created the Marmite Miners, I always wanted to play this game with a group of people exactly like you, and I did. You guys shaped the Marmite Miner's reputation into what it is today. A glorious brown and sticky pasty kind of thing. Thanks for working so hard and being who you are.
     
  •  @INS Alex, @DSGT Mortan, @FordiezZ, @SGT Conner. You guys in the Police really made my enjoy every day I played as a cop. Just wanted to say a big thanks to you guys for accepting me into the ranks, and hopefully having quite a few laughs during my short ride.
     
  • The new blood: @San Miguel, @Jammy, @Darryl Duffy, @Benedict Cumberbatch, @rory, @Azzer, @durrrr, @Dentibus, @Elakin, @Simen, @Vixxy, @RonkEnSkunk, @Caitlin, Nathan (I really don't know your forum handle), @Thesoldier, @DSGT Tampax, @DI  + anyone that I've missed off! It's hard to keep track of everyone. I never really got the chance to know all of you, but I want you to know that I look forward to reading about your exploits in the Marmite Miners off the forums. I have no doubt that you guys will do the Marmite Miners proud and continue to show everyone what we're all about. (Police Holiday Massacres aside *cough*).
     
  • Lastly, but of course, by no means least, I want to thank: @Wilco, @TinyBigJacko, @Ciaran, The hard work you guys have put into this server is truly underrated, you guys have done a fantastic job. As well as all of the Admin team (A particular shout-out to @Vladic Ka, for joining us in the Marmite Miners and giving us endless laughs every time you've been on with us, and also @Steph ♥ for making Cutters life hell!). The list doesn't end here, thanks also to the Game Admins, Forum Mods, the Mentors and of course, all the other players on the server. You guys have really made the last 7 months pretty f'ing awesome for me. 
Sorry if I've missed anyone out, the caffeine is running out and my fingers are starting to ache!.
I also accidentally clicked the back button on my browser and nearly erased all this text, so I'm not going to risk typing much more!
For the time being, I'm going to transfer the Leadership of the Marmite Miners to Steven Seabass, who I'm sure will do a fine job of keeping the train moving. I leave the decision of how to move forward with the gang at his discretion. (Don't disband the gang just because I left on your birthday buddy! Pwwease!)

Thanks to you all, I hope that I get the chance to see you guys in the future.

Words cannot describe how fucking sad this makes me. The most level headed guy i've ever met on Altis and quite frankly you're a loss to not just the gang but the server. I'm going to miss the fuck out of you!

Please jump into TS on the odd occasion and sit and chat shit with us into the wee hours like we're used to. I hope life treats you well and you're not a stranger.

This is a huge loss not just to the Miners but to the community as a whole. I'm genuinely shocked, I didn't see this coming. I don't know what to say apart from thank you for everything, for the fun times, for being the heart of the Marmite Miners, for absolutely everything you've done for us. I hope to see you come back someday buddy, you are a credit to this community and it's such a shame to see you go.

I wish you the best of luck for the future, wherever it may take you.

I want to thank you and cutter for creating MM! You made my time on the server, If I didn't find this amazing gang you and Cutter created I would probably not be a part of this community. Also thank you for all the memorys you gave me. You are a loss for this community and will forever be remembered! Bye old friend, I will forever remember you and miss u ♥

I just want to thank you for creating an awesome gang with Cutter, I truly think MM is one of a kind and I'm incredibly happy and honoroured we got to take part in it. I hope to still see you around. After all, you also need to relax once in a while, before you completely turn into an old fart. ;)

 
I would just like to say a big thank you, you really have showing me a good time, and it is sad to see you go. I wont forget the long talk we had when i was doing a cocaine run (Still salty that the the server crashed before I could sell) but it was still a fun chilled day, and many more memories. Also you and Steven making me feel very welcome as a Marmite miner. So thank you and take care.......

Oh no! First Al and Cutter and now you! My heard is bleeding! :(

I maybe gonna eat some Marmite tonight and think about bumming .. this actually makes me sad!

I wish you the best whatever you gonna do next or wherever you gonna go but please promise me to take care of my poor little Cutter!

Oh Ash! Like I said to you before, What a shit birthday present this was, but god damn it your lucky your such an amazing guy that you actually get away with it. 

When I joined the MM i was on my own and you welcomed me in and made my time on the island the best it could be. You have led me to meet some amazing people and I truly thank you for that.

Now hurry up and get over this life crisis, buy yourself a house and come back to us :p  I look forward to speaking to you soon and let us all know how you are getting on.
