So, after some thought and reading through the Exile forum and other threads elsewhere I've come up up with an idea that may or may not be possible and may or may not be liked. Neo mentioned the idea of a possible New Life Rule and although it'd be nice to have something like that on the server it could cause some issues with the flow and the idea of it being kill or be killed.
1) A Heatmap of sorts, something that drops an area around a players death (specifically when killed by another player) on top of the typical 'skull' marker on the map to indicate place of death that'll give the player a warning when they pass into it or stop them from passing into the area completely until a timer has reached zero. The reason I say that it would only drop when killed by another player is because when you're doing missions against AI, you don't want to leave your party/gang a man down and not be able to run back, grab your things and give them a hand again. On the other hand it could drop when there are players within a certain distance as well as whether you were killed by another player.
It's something to be built upon but it's a random thought and I'm unsure whether it's actually possible in game with the resources available.
