OK we have been getting into some great RP with civs and police, had some really funny events.
The other night we wanted a police chase, we held two officers up had a great RP with them and they played along superb. Everything was good, then the police chase was about to begin and an armed response car flew in, they were all screaming "put your weapons down". I took cover as did my friend, my unarmed friend shouted he was unarmed and tried negotiating then they spotted my other friend and shot as he had his gun raised... this got me stuck... my group has been engaged and has taken shots, very little RP is going on, but I know after previous run ins with the police, if I had started to talk I would have just been tazed, it seems to be, taze them then talk with a lot of police. I returned fire and managed to escape, I felt like realistically this is the way it would have gone, had no arguments from any police in side chat.
It just felt a bit "meh". I wanted more of a RP stand off, trigger happy seems to be the best word to describe it on both sides. The day before I tried to RP and just got told "put your...." and got tazed. So I guess I have adjusted to this. My willingness to RP with them is there, just very hard to make it happen.
Any others had similar situations? Any tips?
