To begin with, I don't know if someone already posted this, or was a msg I've read somewhere the comunity, but just in case, here it goes.
Suggestion:
Pretty much straight foward like the show. Storage containers that has been locked for "X" ammount of time (for staff reasons, and when the content does not constitute the product of a rulebreak) I think it would be fun to gather people and do a mini event for it.
The mechanic could not be more simple, to prevent metagame or simply people knowing the content of the container, storage inventorys would be clased as 1,2,3 and storage position in the map would be clased as A,B,C; so the content of the containers can be mixed and will always be random.
Staff, basically under the figure of an auctioner would give a brief description of the background of a imaginary person, and maybe hide some hints of the content; and then people bid for it.
Pros:
- Fun and simple event to do
- Containers released and placed in circulation
Cons:
- Small effort for the background history and staff time to randomice storage content
