Brief Summary:

I suggest adding scuba diving as a new activity in the FiveM roleplaying server. This feature would include treasure hunting underwater, allowing players to find valuable items and earn money.

Detailed Suggestion:

My suggestion is to introduce scuba diving as a new activity within the server. This feature would give players the opportunity to explore the underwater world and engage in treasure hunting. Upon reaching a certain level or completing a specific questline, players could unlock the ability to purchase or rent scuba diving equipment.

To initiate scuba diving, players would need to visit designated locations, such as a dock or beach, where they can enter the water and begin their underwater adventure. Once submerged, they would have access to a variety of areas, including reefs, shipwrecks, and hidden caves, each offering unique treasures and rewards.

To make scuba diving engaging and realistic, various mechanics and gameplay elements can be implemented. For instance, players may need to manage their oxygen supply and depth limits, ensuring they plan their dives effectively and return to the surface before running out of air.

The Pros:

  1. Increased Diversity of Gameplay: Scuba diving would provide players with a fresh and immersive experience, adding more variety to the server's activities and attracting a wider range of players.
  2. Exploration and Discovery: The underwater environment would offer unique and visually stunning locations for players to explore, with the potential for hidden treasures and secrets.
  3. Roleplaying Opportunities: Scuba diving could foster roleplaying opportunities, such as underwater archaeology or marine conservation efforts, allowing players to develop unique storylines and character interactions.
  4. Economic Boost: The addition of treasure hunting could create new avenues for players to earn money, stimulating the in-game economy and providing additional motivation for players to engage in this activity.

The Cons:

  1. Development Effort: Implementing scuba diving and treasure hunting would require significant development resources and time investment from the server's development team.
  2. Potential Balancing Issues: Depending on the value and availability of the treasures found underwater, there is a possibility that the server's economy could be affected. It would be important to carefully balance the rewards to ensure a fair and balanced gameplay experience for all players. However, this could be balanced with setting high costs for purchasing scuba equiptment.
  3. Server Performance: Adding new underwater locations and assets may increase the server's resource requirements, potentially impacting performance if not optimized properly.

Does this suggestion change the balance on the server?

The addition of scuba diving and treasure hunting has the potential to impact the server's balance, primarily in terms of the in-game economy. The availability and value of the treasures found underwater would need to be carefully balanced to prevent an excessive inflow of wealth or disrupt the existing economic dynamics.

+1, I've also made a suggestion that diving tanks could be purchased form marina as well as sets of pre-made diving clothes which can be found in the clothing in the shop, but the ability to put them on or pay 500 quid to get the outfit. Adding scuba tanks to marina would also allow for more revenue for the marina, as everyone knows and says that the marina is a "shit dealership and makes no money" but if you own a shop long enough, it will pay you back, not many people buy boats and when they've bought one, they dont see a need to buy another, so this would be a decent income for the marina.

Treasure hunting could also involve the pawn shops we have and each treasure found could be sold there, the pawn shops could have a set price for certain things; for example, if someone find a gold coin while treasure hunting, people could bring it to pawn shops to sell and employees of the pawn shop could be there to buy it and sell it back to the "server" same way as people sell fish back in the fishing shop, so if the pawn shop can sell back the coin to the server for 10k, they can negotiate with people on prices when they bring the coins in, the pawn shop could buy it for whatever price the employee and seller agree on. Yes this would allow a constant income of money to the pawn shop so long as people are treasure hunting. This could be done with many other treasure that could be found in the ocean.
