What Is the RAF - The RAF works with partners to strengthen national and international security and to protect the interests and influence of the UK and our allies.
Aircrafts= Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35B Lightning

Having A RAF style group in the city will be beneficial from a roleplaying point of view such as getting a few more skilled pilots to possible put on a air show for the city to enjoy (over the sea) or even just pure Red, white and blue flying in a triangle formation over the city would be amazing.

When in comes to finding pilots there would be a very Carefully constructed test's and task's To find the right people

Pros= Amazing roleplay experience, Show's for everyone from any point in the city

Cons=Could crash and die but that what happens IRL unfortunately and a bit of Dev Work 

 
Like the idea of having them performing airshows, not sure how I feel about them doing QRA's job though. Could potentially be hired for events, or used to display adverts in the air, though we're moving away from the RAF role on those last 2 points. Definately needs to be a whitelisted job regardless. Giving it a +1, but needs some more consideration.

 
+1 from me with some addition.

We already have the RAF in a small function ( QRA ) Which I have always wanted to apply for but I believe its staff only. I hope we could open up the airforce and utilise Zancudo airbase more, we could have aircraft mechanics and Pilots, Yes this would need to very much be a whitelisted position due to the fighter jets etc, but there could be a progression system where you start off with training jets and display jets like in the video, then after some time you get promoted to QRA, obviously after training.
Maybe make it a requirement to serve as a police officer for a min amount of time before being able to transfer over, because RAF also have firearms and could be used to support situations on the ground also, not every day but events like evidence transports and such.

Hire for events and advertisements is a good idea and adds more to it.

 
I dont trust the community enough to actually do this. sorry. the restrictions on who gets in would have to be astronomical.

Yeah, I was more so getting at that in game, QRA is a staff thing. Didn't want to take that away from them.

 
+1, im not sure how its going to work with the view distance on the server tho, sometimes helis and other objects disappear in close distances.

 
no, all it requires is someone being upset with something on the server to hop in a jet and shot everyone and everything.

i'm fine with everything BUT being able to do QRA stuff, it's fine with only being staff leads and so on, QRA is not used enough for a faction giving x amount of people access to it makes sense

jobs within Zancudo is fine, being a mechanic or whatever, but not the whole fighterjet pilot thing.

the airshow thing i'm fine with, don't see why a certain group of people showing interest in it couldn' t get access to some nice planes with smoke behind them

 
@Nikolai YES YES YES to be honest I would be more then happy to do just the air shows for events etc, The QRA stuff would be something if possible due to the jets being very OP and could be catastrophic if used incorrectly.

And when it comes to viewing distances over the sea the pier for example due to the amount of entities being so low I would to to think people can see for a decent range even if someone cant see that far the few seconds they see 7/8 Jets flying over head with Red, white and blue smoke would definitely make there day.
