at the end of the day most gangs just want to have a shootout against the cops with (with low rp) . usually winning (however the cops do win somethings)as most of the officers have only mk-20 so the gangs win. They will have marks 1 mx`s etc. police are here to try and clean up the city there not here to get into gunfights just about everyone cop doesn't. Were just trying to do our job buts i makes it so much harder when you got gangs TRYING to get into gun fights. The funny thing is when a cop does something wrong ls / other gangs they have a massive cry about it. what ive seen ls will go to support about the little thing and bitch about its no need. the only salty people i see at the moment are ls. its completely true what he said and you know it is.
Most of the older cops dont role play as much as they see no point in it there not going to get role play back very few people roleplay on this sever which is bad as the sever is a "serious roleplay sever".

Cops dont want a gunfight but they send their lowest ranking officers into drug dealer to initiate on a gang while they are all in positions on buildings and around the area ready to shoot? No offense, you say you dont want a gunfight but then you clearly see there is multiple rebels with guns around and you tell one of them to put their hands up or they will be tazed, they are not going to do it are they. If you dont want a gunfight instead of telling a gang member to put his hands up or he will be tazed actually talk to them. I got into 5 gunfights today mostly for the same pathetic reason. One gunfight started by me invading a cops personal space so he decided to spray rubbers at me when i was just trying to talk and rp with him so that ended up in a gunfight. Cops surrounded weed processor 3 times and everytime they sent there lowest ranking cop in to initiate for them. "Put your hands up or you will be tazed" Sorry buddy but if you just role up like that i am not going to listen you am i? You cant just say rebels want gunfights when the police are mainly the ones who start them. Your not going to get any RP sitting on weed processor hill while you wait for an initiation are you ? If you want to roleplay stop being so stupid running up to a big gang threating them with your tazers, actually talk to them. You would find out that talking actually leads to fun for both sides instead of gunfights 24/7 .You cops just need to stop rolling up and being so hostile. At the end of the day most of the gunfight that i am involved in are mainly at processor and dealer. I dont want a gunfight at all i just want to get out with my weed, most of the time its the cops that start the gunfight.
Since the time i have been a rebel only one officer has ever actually came to the processor peacefully to try and speak to us without threating us. @Shambala12+1 to you for trying to solve things peacefully.
Also i kinda laughed at the fact that you said we pull all officers up XD the only officers we talk to are the ones where there is a misunderstanding such as today with the scrapping from Fergus. Its mostly the cops that actually pull LS up and most of the time the cops that pull us down to liaison is for a misunderstaning on there side such as they thought we broke NLR when infact we used something called a defib.

It is very much a stereotype that gangs are referred to as being bad at role play or wanting gunfights, a majority of good smaller gangs reputations are brought down by certain groups of people (no names). I partially agree with the opening statement that some people do just want gunfights, however some gangs still enjoy role play. When police are given a chance they are phenomenal at roleplay, In fact they let me go from a prison sentence WITH AN MX due to me and the officer having a commen hatered for a certain group xD. Just popping my opinions in...Can I also point out that certain members Within this post are annoyed that a member of the community has gone out of their way to try to comment upon and improve the standard of not only their roleplay, but also the community as a whole, please rethink why you are on this forum in the first place. you may think we want gunfights but we are just trying to clean up the city. we send in a lower ranking officer (most of the time a cso) as they cant do anything they have nothing to defend if they were to setup on the buildings they would be spotting and personally i don`t think it would be that fun. I as well got into many gun fights together i did`nt want it to go to a gun fight i just wanted to do my job stop people doing illegal things. if we "rolled up" any way i don`t think you would listen any way most people in gangs don`t listen they say "your gonna get killed" "your surrounded by us" large gangs rarely listen to the cops they will either hostage the officer or go into a gunfight. We get guns and a tasers to defend our self as well as all the civ`s and stop people doing illegal things and gangs make our life alot more harder. I`ve got nothing against it gives us cops more things to do but when there just asking for a gun fight as well as have low rp its ruins the game. For example when we try and do a traffic stop against a large gang member. They wont listen then call in back up then they we will either die or get hostage. This again comes down to the fact of rebels having better weapons then cops i have nothing against also we are generally out numbed so we will have to let them go or go in a gun fight. I think its alot harder for cops then it is as a rebel i still totally understand the fact.

You cant just make assumptions that because 1 rebel gang kills you the other rebel gang will. Most of the time if a cop rolls up to me i talk to them and ask them what they want. Its like rebels cant make assumptions that because one cop is not going to listen to you RP story the other one wont. Everybody is different in the way they interact with other players. As i said if you guys want RP just roll up and speak to them. If your friendly enough they are not going to hurt you are they? If there a big gang that look threatning call in for backup then go speak to them. Everything doesnt need to be an iniation. A cops most important weapon is their voice, so go use it. "Put your hands up or you will be tazed" is asking for a gunfight if its clear there are around 10 guys in the area. Take the more peacefull approach. Talk to them. Make them laugh, be friendly. Comment them on their clothes and how nice of a day it is. Thats what i did when i was a cop and it was really enjoyable for me and them as it was a nice civil conversation without any bullets being shot.

There is a difference between catching thieves who are doing illegal things (what police does). And just randomly driving around in hatback sports with mx's. You're right that before we catch you there should be more RP if you see someone doing it get to the highest ranking officer in scene and have a talk with him about it. But I can see the reason why we do it. If we roleplay with you before you guys will call it in to your friends and you guys are going to set up. Which we have a lot. Example: Person died. Police picked up the weapon while waiting for a medic. A gang member started screaming at the police that he wanted the gun back some roleplay starts. And when it finishes "Put your hands up we have snipers in the area". Ofcourse we know not every gang does this. There are some exceptions (mostly the smaller gangs or marmite miners etc). And that's mostly why the police does this. Just accept it sometimes that you can't always win. Just accept that your gun will be taken off you. In some cases I understand that it can only lead into a gun fight (big weed convoy or something) and that's fine. But now everything when some people are involved ends in a gunfight. When I played as a rebel and I was caught doing something illegal I just dealt with it. Didn't call for gangmates. I just roleplayed and accepted my punishment.
It has to come from both sides. If some people make clear that they really want to roleplay. Just accept it sometimes that a gun will be taken off you.

I agree with you alot, alot of gunfights start because there is not real roleplay at all, so many times ive encounterd police that set up and they send in a cso or pcso and he goes "hands up or you are all being tazed". Meanwhile i had situations with officers at the same places and had brilliant rp as if they just talk you can probaly find an agreement that fits perfect to both sides.
Anyways sometimes you have bad/good rp. You cant blame all the gangs or the police for it as every person is resposible of how they rp themself and thats why you awlays need to look at the new situation with fresh eyes and not just refuse to rp if you had bad encounters with the person/gang/the officer before.
Dunno if anything i said makes sense as i just woke up but i tought id give my perspective and how i feel bout the situation. (sorry if there is some wierd wording/grammar just woke up and not native english)

500k for my gear. I dont think i am going to give it away to some police officer if i have my whole gang to protect me. Whats tbe point in having a gang if your not going to protect each other. You dont always need to take somebodys illegal weapon, have some fun with then and you would find out that its fun for you both. As i said before stop coming up to rebel gangs so hostile and maybe they may treat you less hostile its something called respect. If you have the mindset that every gang will kill you are very wrong and you need to change that. But as i said before it comes to stupid decisions if you see there is a huge gang with guns all together and you approach them hostile they are not going to hand over their guns to you are they ?

If someones pulls out a gun in a good roleplay moment It's fine.. but walking around with mk1's in kavala robbing civs and whining on the forums when police tries to take the weapons of someone is a little bit over the top. It's our job to get them off people. It should be rare that we not take your gun. Now it's rare to take your gun. Why roleplay with guns on your back? Leave them in your car or backpack

Rebels can, there's just a time and place when you can. Police are endorsed by the government to carry firearms (rifles) whereas, as mere criminals, you are not. People seem to be in the mindset that cops 'Rob' guns.. they seize them. They are illegal to be in possession of civilians. Just because officers may be ill equipped in comparison and Ill trained (combat) it doesn't mean that they shouldn't enforce the law (otherwise what in all honesty is the point in the police if they don't enforce law?) I will let people get away with guns, i may even take all of their magazines, take their rifle, or take their attachments, depends on the quality of roleplay given by them and their FRIENDS*.
* by this I mean their friends attitude and their quality of roleplay. If they seem to want to go down the shooty root I'll more than likely just fuck off an avoid them for the whole restart (a form of 'punishment' (no roleplay and no gunfight from me)) or I'll take their friends rifle for sure.

This is a situation that will forever be present on the island unfortunately. There will always be rebels who prefer keeping there gun/illegal items and wont let anyone/anything stop them. There will also be police officers that won't listen to RP no matter what you say to them. It's frustrating for both sides and I can see both sides points. There are gangs that will continue to just want to have a shootout and there will be police that will just want to not listen to RP and take weapons/send to prison.
I personally don't like shooting police and will only do it if I feel the officers are not listening to anything. This has happened more and more recently and I feel it is due to other gangs getting into shootouts and the officers take a hard stance on anyone, this is a huge frustration for me and others who prefer to RP and for us in the middle it is frustrating.
I had an incident yesterday where one of my gang mates jumped out of a car with his weapon on his back(His own fault) to see if a police officer who had crashed was ok. He then jumped in the car but crashed and were then surrounded by around 4 police cars and a UNMC Quilin. We all got out of the car(3 of us) and 2 had weapons on their backs, they were handcuffed and I was left to walk around. After a while the police stopped listening to my friends and so my friend told one police officer that he had been here long enough and if he was not released bad things may happen. The police officer rightly asked for a warning shot and this was given but instead of then listening to what was being asked of him he just continued to talk on his radio and ignore my friend, this led to him being shot and a hobo and I believe another officer.
That story can also be pretty much the same for rebels in similar scenarios. I'm not saying each of the 2 groups are to blame but we all need to listen to each other and try and RP things out. Its not fun for either side when the other party is not listening to you but I can also see that the police get the most shit out of us all, but people who do want to RP get denied due to other peoples actions.

i'm going to throw my 2 pence in here i have started to rp in the green zone as i every time i rp out of the green zone bad things happen to me and in the gz i am more likley to enjoy my rp as there is no threat to my life now you can say what you want about this but if you want to rp in a safe place this is where you can do it and you get a diverse set of roleplay from the hobos and gangs

All I will say is this, people have a different perception of how to do things, in this case it's RP. Some cops are strict and follow the rule to the letter while some rebels fight the opposition that they think this there (spoilers it isn't 
)
At the end of the day this argument will always be here, some advice from me, Cops, try new RP, don't be the guy at weed processing who says hands up, all walk up and start talking, ask questions. And for the rebels, respond and I don't mean either leave or be shot or talking while processing the drugs.
If we can start doing things like this, make RP better for everyone then people will be happy, and should stop people from demanding their presence on TS.

I understand this is a heated topic and there are many points and sides to it but this post was not made to start an arguement only to get peoples opinions and feedback so please dont be disrespectful of others opinions. Just felt i needed to say it before this started an arguement. Also to all the people saying "here we go" or something along the lines, please , share your opinion but things like that dont help the situation. I understand you may have seen this a bigilion times but it means that people and players are very passionate about the topic at hand.
