I've spoken to a few police about this, and we feel the money you rebels demand is far too high. Which when we get 5 hostage situation a day, can cause quite a problem.
typically, Officers get ransomed for £1,000,000-£5,000,000
Which is just un-reasonable. So here's my recommendation:
CC - £500,000
CSI/SI - £400,000
CI - £300,000
DI - £200,000
PC/SPC/SGT - £100,000
(CSO/PCSO cannot be take hostage, and are under instructions to disconnect if that happens)
Now I know we all like to negotiate, so I'm proposing that these values, can be increased by up to 100%. So if you get a DI in some fortress with 10 rebels guarding, you've got a good chance of getting that £400,000. And getting away with it.
If you capture that same DI by yourself, held up in some shack in the middle of no-where alone.... well the odd are against you. So you're looking at that £200,000 mark. But it's still open to negotiations. And it can be less that this limit depending on the situation.
All the money comes straight from Officer pockets. We don't get an endless supply, and new cops will have a extremely limited pool of money. And the lower the amount you ask for, the more likely we are to give it to you, instead of a sending in am Armed TFU squad.
And on a final note, any money that is exchanged for a hostage, has to be done in cash. It's police protocol. And increases RP. Which is what it's about.
We don't want a repeat of last time, where you could make millions by camping towns and patrol only to steal cops every hour, because it's the easiest way to make money. Because then I imagine, it will get banned again. Which nobody wants.
So, how does this sound to everyone?
