Hanging around at the drug dealer in my truck when a helicopter landed i stayed away just in case he was trying to rob me, he then ran in and out a couple of times, ran upto my truck and started shooting? He later said as he killed me that he initiated. If the player used his brain he would know not to initiate over his blackhawk that's running and noone could hear a thing.

You have to be kidding me. Reupload that footage without turning your game sound down. You can not even hear you shooting. How was i meant to hear your intiatiation over a helicopter spinning at full RPM?

I shot back at you since you already fired upon me.

That is the sound you have when you turn all sound effects down and VON sounds up.

I was there in that situation aswell, here is my footage. You can hear he actually did initiate and started taking out your tires and wasnt threatening your life, he only took shots at your person when you started doing so.

You can not expect every player to have their sound down. Taking the average sound of a person's settings would not allow any initiation to be heard.

Furthermore you are communicating using a third party software hence why his initiation is so clear.

 
We do not expect everyone to have their sounds down that far, which is why we didnt initiate on your life but on your tires instead. After the tires wouldve been taken out we couldve continued the situation in a more calmly matter.

He indeed 'hotmic'd' the initiation over teamspeak but you can also hear it in game, that is just to show we did attempt properly.

 
In fact, you was informed twice to get out of the vehicle, you completely ignored the instruction.  Here's a clip from one of my teammate.

The video I provided has low sound but if you actually turn your volume up, you'd be able to hear. Perhaps, from watching your video, I can barely hear myself,  same with spoof's, even though he was right next to you. 

Sounds to me you need to get your VON volume up, this is a roleplay server, hearing playersvoice is very very important.

You can not initiate on my tires, you put my life in danger by firing at my vehicle, That itself is initiation hence why i fired back. 

 
My intention was to get you out of the vehicle, and you failed to do so. If I wanted to RDM you I would do so as soon as I see you, I tried speaking to you and you fire the first shot at me.

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban).

There was no form of quality roleplay since i was not able to hear you. You need to make sure i can hear you initiate or else i'm driving my truck and a randomer just starts shooting at me? Initiation i think not sir.

i think you can as this initiation tutorial by Clarity (level 2 staff) shows it is actually the proper way of initiating.

The pink car driver heard initiation therefore he could comply. however i heard no initiation i was just fired upon.

 
even if the other party (due to environmental sound) cant hear the initiation starting to shoot at the tires of the vehicle is the proper way of getting him to stop so you can actually start RP'ing.

I'm going to exit this conversation as i have provided my video and (in my opinion) a decent explanation as to why things went as they did.

I will not continue arguing but rather let a staffmember oversee given arguments and recordings and judge based on that.

+1 That is the better option, was hoping for you to own up and accept the mistake but Well let the staff member decide the course of action.

 
even if you couldn't hear us 2 truck boxers blocking you and someone running at you with a gun should say enough about the situation your in and at that point you might want to consider putting in your earplugs to dimm the other sounds or even get out of the vehicle and RP with them. But lets wait for an admin to see this case

Whilst I do see you didn't hear the person initiating, he was close enough for it to be deemed satisfactory. As it's been pointed out, the fact you couldn't hear it isn't their fault. I would suggest you use the deep earplug option when driving a vehicle or in proximity of a helicopter. This feature is there for that reason.

However, the initiation itself was piss poor.

I'm glad that Clarity's video has been shown here as it is a good demo of how to initiate on a vehicle. Let's compare Calrity's correct way vs what we see in the videos here.

Clarity : "Alright there buddy, you drive off your tires will be shot. Get out the car, get out the car, sir get out the car or your tires will be shot"  Tires are then shot.
Clear instructions are given along with the consequences of what will happen if the victim fails to comply. Enough time is given for the victim to comply before shots are fired. in this case, 'your tires will be shot'. The victim is in no doubt that if he drives of his tires will be shot.

Vs

Rct. Andrews : "Get out the vehicle, get out the vehicle, get out the vehicle"  Shots are then fired at the vehicle tires, but as no warning was given that tires would be shot, the victim here would have no idea you were only shooting at his tires.

This kind of initiation is subpar of the standards we expect here on RPUK.
