Please (in detail) describe the incident: Hello and thanks for taking the time to review the report.

At 15:25 yesterday (20/03/2023), I was doing some Taxi work within the city and when driving through Mirror Park and I saw a cutlass member dressed in colours who I was pretty sure was Kash and thought to my self this is a perfect opportunity to grip him.

I beeped to get his attention and he approached which is where I step out the car and told him to "put your hands up now" with a knife drawn to him.
Kash, whilst I am posed and ready to strike and giving my demands, proceeds to pull out a gun and swing at me where I then manage to get a hit with my knife to down him as shown in the clip.

I believe this is NVL because he tried to fight his way out the situation where he is at a clear and obvious disadvantage by getting his gun out his pocket and attack me whilst I have the knife held to him, poised and ready to attack.

I reached out in OOC to come discord after the situation was over where I tried to explain to him about his mistake and how this was NVL but he just didn't want to accept it and in his eyes "it was knife vs gun"
Whilst there may have been some arguement had he already been armed when I had pulled my knife, he was not armed at the time and his pulling his gun resulted in his death.
The liason was going no where so at that time we agreed to disagree and I said I would continue with a report and leave it to staff. This is where Kash became defensive and began saying that I am now "threatening to report" which I do not agree with but I am sure this is something that will be brought up here in a response.

As a final note I would like to apologised about the lack of microphone audio in my footage, not sure what the issue is here but I will fix this when I figure the issue out.

The problem I have is that you came into liaison and immediately threatened to report it.
We hadn't really started talking when you said you were going to report.
That sends the liasion's atmosphere elsewhere when we could have educated each other on what was right or wrong.

You called Kane to Liaison in game after the situation had ended, 30 seconds into the Liaison you had already informed Kane you'll be putting a report up on the forums. 

Why didn't you attempt to discuss this with Kane and resolve the issue between yourselves?

What made you make up your mind so rapidly after initiating the Liaison yourself?

Hey Danoo, thanks for taking the time to respond and review.

On reflection maybe that might not have been the best thing to say that quickly in to the liason but with Kash's response being "well I was always told..." and the situation playing out the way it did; whilst also taking in to consideration how long Kash himself has been a member of the cumminity, I did not want to be going around in circles and simply wanted to let him know I would be reporting to let him know I would be letting staff decide whether he broke a rule or not. I feel there has been a clear breach of the rule and whether truly ignorant to that or simply feigning ignorance, I would like staff to make a decision on what should or should not be done to educate Kash in this circumstance.

In terms of the "revenge report" claim from him during the conversation because I had been banned for the same thing in the past, I find this statement ridiculous as me being banned in the past simply means I am aware of the rule, who am I supposed to be getting revenge on as I was not at a loss in the situation and therefore feel that for me to "revenge report would be a bit of a stretch. I feel this was a deflection and a way to attempt to avoid to report being placed.

Hi @zycho, thank you for the response.

@6AN6During this situation you were clearly at a disadvantage. Being at knifepoint and then deciding to reach into your pockets to grab a gun, raise it and then attempt to shoot wouldn't make sense. At the position you were in, I would be raising my hands in clear sight of the opposite player.

@zychoI would like to remind you that Liaisons are there for players to attempt resolving things. After initiating this Liaison you went into it with a ready-made mind that you were going to report Kane which is pointless.
This situation could have easily been resolved between the two of you if you were willing to put time into speaking with Kane.

I would also like to flag up that your audio is not working at the start of the clip you have provided, in this situation it is clear what has happened but this may cause a problem for reports with different context. 

Due to the above, I will be acting on this report with the following:

Action: 2 Day Ban Following FBS
