Please (in detail) describe the incident: Deshawn Malik had an arrest warrant for shooting at police. I stopped his vehicle and told him about some traffic violations (the usual kind of ones) that he did. I then asked him to step out of the car after confirming his ID. He got out and we went to the pavement. I told him he had a warrant (this was for shooting police but in the light of giving him a chance of escape i didn't pull any weapons) and that he would need to put his hands up. We went back and forwards while i was using usual police training ATM until i had given him so many "asks" & "tells" that i decided to tackle him and cuff him.
I took him to MRPS where he only spoke to insult me in various ways so i ignored it and continued to book him in. He didn't speak at all when we got to custody so i processed him as a non-guilty plea and gave him a £150,00 ticket & jail term per the charges.
He said he wasn't going to pay and i should just take him to jail. I explained he was getting both, he never selected an option to my knowledge of pay now or pay later. I also never received a receipt that he had selected an option.

I escourted him to the police car and to jail where he was booked in during which i never received a confirmation he had selected an option to pay the ticket. So my assumption is that he never selected an option, then just F8 and quit to avoid paying it. I checked his PNC and it also doesn't have the ticket listed as a pay later option.

thought it would automatically choose pay later like with the dodgy doctor tbh, didn't even know this was an interaction that could happen.

i'm not sure what the process is but we can rectify that mistake, whether we have to go in qe to set up a time for you to be able to give me the fine again or you'll need my id, let me know, cheers.

Edit: since being made aware that it didn't choose pay later, i've spoken to a member of police and paid the fine. saying that it wasn't going to be paid was in-character and it wasn't intentional bypassing that mechanic.

While I appreciate you tried to rectify the situation and hope that staff take that into account. I struggle to believe that you didn't intend to do this and that it was an in-character action given by the whole interaction you immediately jumped to ooc complaining "nice chance to escape, very fun!" and the whole time seemed genuinely angry.

Aside from this i dont have anything to add to the report so will leave it up to staffs decision. I get people get heated in the moment and do dumb things but i dont agree with your reasoning on this report that you didn't intend not to pay via this exploit. And w/out the report you would happily have gone on without paying/receiving the ticket again.

It seems you're upset with the roleplay that you received and now you're intending to get me banned as a result of it. I don't believe anyone (including myself) was aware of this interaction as it was put in the changelogs after this report. As with the dodgy doctor, the clock icon is on the pay later option and I believed that would be chosen if I didn't choose an option.

You made no attempt to contact me, whether it be OOC or discord, to inform me that this has happened and instead went straight to the forums which is where I first found out this was a possibility. I was still in prison at the time, had no access to knowing that this had occurred and trying to give me no opportunity to resolve this, even going as far as avoiding me in roleplay and telling other police officers not to allow me to pay the fine.

You're speculating without any substance to your claims out of a personal vendetta. You made no attempt to resolve this with me, ignoring my initial response on this report and upon myself being informed, I did what I could to fix this issue and yet you're hungry for a punishment. It's quite petty if you ask me.

John can weigh in if he wants but i was out [not in server] when you found another cop - at no point did i tell anyone not to fine you. i actually got in a few hours later saw the message from john where he said he gave u the fine

You're making a lot of assumptions and you're seeming quite upset and immature about the situation.

You can think that all you want but it's far from the facts. As happens with every other option in the game, it automatically chooses deny as I assumed would happen with this one. I've never known or seen a case of this happening before and I was completely unaware of the fact that the fine wouldn't go through.

All you had to do was inform me and we could have resolved it. There was plenty to resolve. Myself and the staff were made aware this was possible and there's been a change to prevent it from happening. I paid the fine as my intention was never to "exploit" the system and avoid receiving the fine entirely.

You're hungry for a punishment as you aren't happy with how the scene played out and it's plain to see mate.

Hello @kiran and thank you for submitting a player report.

I find it hard to believe there was any intention to exploit, as @KiloC mentioned the dodgy doctor automatically picks an option for you. Therefore, I'm sure you can understand where the confusion might have come from in that regard. furthermore, a change was made by 1A3 to address this issue and this kind of situation shall not occur again in the future.
