Reported Players: 833 and 829

What best describes this incident: G1.5: Power gaming, combat-storing: Forcing a scenario where no matter the roleplay of the other party you will win; G2.4: Value of Life: At all times you are to value your life, if you are clearly outnumbered or at an obvious disadvantage you should comply with demands.

Please (in detail) describe the incident: Note: I am unsure which of the two of 833 and 829 were the person parking the truck in the civilian impound. Hopefully staff can have a look at the combat logs and come to a conclusion.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to whichever staff will be handling this report!

Me, and some mates in my gang Jay, Niki and Jonesy were driving around and relaxing when we received a radio call from another gang member Pablo saying he had been robbed by two people in a black Jester and a black Neo. We tried to get after them as we had seen them earlier. We split into seperate cars and one of my mates ended up finding the two robbers at the civilian impound - they got there earlier than me but as i pulled up myself i saw one of the robbers storing something in his van and immediately we got the hunch that they were stashing the weapon they had stole off Pablo in the van to avoid having to hand over the gun as was intended on our behalf. The same robber then proceeded to run over to his truck immediately (while he had guns pointed at him and was being told to put his hands up) and park the vehicle in civilian impound.

Myself and my friends believe that this is a clear showing of not being interested in the roleplay related to solving the disappointing situation, and rather prioritizing material gains over potential quality roleplay experiences.

We did have the pleasure of a liaison in QE with the robbers but upon confronting them it was clear that they did not agree with our point of view. I don't mean to put words in their mouth, but it seems a lot like they meant that since they didn't actually stash the gun in the van (which there is no proof of), it doesn't actually count as combat-storing. They also didn't seem interested in reviewing the clips that we had.

Hello @Kyle Nelk,

Could you let Rhys Nelk to respond to the following,

Would you like to explain your side of the story?

Hi oneshot, me and a couple friends were looking to find people to rob when we found somebody in legion outside bean machine brandishing a firearm so when he went to repair his car me and my friends got out of ours and promtly robbed him, explaining what would happen if he didnt comply to our demands after we had robbed him of his gun and ammo we quickly drove away to further explain what we should do next when we decided we should head to a storage vehicle and put away the gun so if need be we could still pick up another m1911 as we all already now had one and none of us would be able to pick up another. At this point we were now at the van and i had already put the gun away and was moving away from the van when the cars started to enter the car park, Knowing something sinister was afoot i had already began running to the neo and had made it inside before any cars had been able to threaten me or make me feel like my life was in immediate danger however knowing the situation was escalating i decided that fleeing the area was my best chance to live and swiftly reversed and exited the car park smashing into a few cars and one of the people on my way out. Thank you for time.

Hello @norskov23 & @Rhys Nelk ,

After reviewing the footage provided and read what both sides had to say, Its clear from the footage provided that the players had already threatened the individuals multiple times before they attempted to store the van. While under threat and with shots being fired, @Kyle Nelk proceeded to store the van, pull out a firearm, and was subsequently shot before he could shoot.

I understand your perspective, @Rhys Nelk , but you were in a "combat situation" as the players already threatened the both of you while pointing guns at you before the vehicle could be stored, Despite this, @Kyle Nelk prioritised storing the van rather than complying or addressing with the players.

(C2.4) Combat storing - Storing your vehicle in a way that prevents roleplay such as but not limited to garaging a vehicle whilst you are being chased or impounding/scrapping your vehicle to gain an advantage.

In this case, @Kyle Nelk was explicitly threatened and instructed to put his hands up. Instead of complying, he chose to combat store the van after placing items inside. This is a clear breach of rule C2.4.

Regarding the value of life, this could be debated. Having just robbed a gang member @Kyle Nelk and @Rhys Nelk might think of being killed if they surrendered. However, since the initial threat was a clear 2v2 confrontation, the argument for not valuing their life becomes less compelling in this context. Had there been a larger number of players threatening them, the claim of not valuing life might hold more weight.
