I tried to pull someone for dealing drugs. His friend then got involved and hit me off my bike, thus RDM'ing me. No initiation was made with 309.

Just before this (I only noticed after reviewing the BWV) 297 has looked in his boot to cancel the selling animation. - Exploiting

Hey man, I'm 297 and I'll be honest yeah I did cancel the animation by looking into my trunk but I was unaware that it wasn't allowed. I know this isn't an excuse but hopefully I'll be given a second chance to prove myself as I'd refrain from doing it again in the future, but unfortunately all I can do right now is give my word to never do it again. If you think I did it when I saw you, I honestly didn't even see you until I started riding away on my bike at which point I radioed in that you were approaching us. As for the RDM I can't really say anything other than that I am associated with 309 as we are both a part of the same group. The rule G1.2 states that "Attacking another player without engaging in any form of quality roleplay is considered RDM." I believe that if you attempt to arrest someone that is drug dealing you're clearly putting yourself at risk of being attacked and shouldn't expect to just be able to arrest someone without resistance. Also I believe it is your duty as an officer to attempt to assess the situation before acting, and if you properly did it, you would have noticed that all 3 of us are together and it probably wasn't the best option to go in alone to attempt to arrest us.

Hello mate. In regards to exploiting I’ll let staff decide as it is a more serious rule. Things also would’ve been different in that scenario if I had managed to get close to you whilst you were in the animation as I could’ve dry-stunned you before making off. This report is mainly around the RDM anyway so I am not too fussed about the boot thing.

Onto the RDM, as an officer who mainly does unmarked/marked bike patrols, situations like this happen too many times. People complain that the police have a win mentality when I’d class this scenario as the same, if not more. You and your friends clearly just wanted to win the scenario in whatever way possible, even if it meant RDM’ing an officer to give yourselves a chance to get away. The lack of quality roleplay astonishes me within drug related crimes on this server. Therefore, I have talked to staff about a separate incident as this was turning into a reoccurring thing. My intention is for this to stop and for RP levels to increase to what they were a year or so ago. 

If I were to always act on the assumption that people were always together, I would unfortunately go nowhere on this server. Drug dealers are always together (even if they aren't friends) as there aren’t too many places to sell at so we always see minimum of 3 bikes per area during afternoon hours. Most of the time, police focus on one bike (which is what happened here) and treat it as a main priority. This basically gives the other people an indirect message for them to consider themselves lucky that it wasn’t them and to stop selling. Just because we are going after you, doesn’t mean we have initiated roleplay with your friend. If he was to make threats and I ignored them, then he hit me, I’d say fair play and take it on the chin. It is the fact he didn’t try to make any form of roleplay and in fact didn’t even chase us as the pursuit lasted for about 20 seconds off the top of my head. 

I will be waiting for a staff decision as it’s genuinely just a reoccurring problem which I don’t see changing until people see action has been taken.

Quality RP is mentioned - the reason drug dealers attack so quickly is the win mentality of the Law.

As an example, you provide no RP to us as drug dealers beyond using binoculars from the other end of a road whilst crouching behind obstructions to spot an emote, there is no way IRL you would get away with that as enough to detain or lethally knock someone of a bike, how would you seriously identify that a 5cm packet of drugs was handed over. As always the Law rides in with  a taser raised and a simple 'comply or die' demand and an immediate use of a taser. How about just pulling up and question the player on what just happened, 'excuse me Sir, I just seen you stop and appear to hand over something, can you explain what that what us as we have had reports of Drug Dealers operating in this area ?'. 

Allow the player to attempt to 'convince' you it was nothing illegal. Reward these players sometimes if they are convincing.

The amount of times Law are doing the binoculars, instant taser and cuff,  this is the reason Drug Dealers act so quick because the next immediate step is to instant cuff which now leaves the Drug Dealer 'fucked' if he gets away or not. Then an instant search to confirm drugs are present.

To ride into known gang banger territory and a hotspot for drug dealers, all alone,  with 3 potential violent criminals in a pack breaking the Law and raising a weapon is very close to nvl.

For the criminals to change their approach and slow/extended rp to occur, the Law needs to firstly change their approach - stop the instant use of tasers, instant cuff use and RP the scenario firstly with a conversation.

Are you there to simply arrest and win the scenario, use binoculars, instantly take down players and cuff or to engage, interact and RP with players ?

It takes both sides for an extended RP scenario.

And you didn't? You instantly came up to me and demanded that I stop my bike or be tased lol. Why would my friend let me go to jail, where I have to sit around and do basically nothing until my time is up? What kind of roleplay does that provide for me? Obviously I'm going to try to get away, why wouldn't I? You literally whacked me off my bike as soon as you could and also tased my friend right after being slashed off your bike.

I've read the replies and looked over the footage and will go on to speak about it below - 

@richarddias You had a lot of opportunities in this particular situation to create a better roleplay scenario for those involved, but 6 seconds after you got onto your bike, you made sure that you had your taser. Plus you proceeded to hold 'X' which would allow you smack people off the side of your bike. Your clip almost felt as if you didn't want to give them a chance nor actually arrest and roleplay with them due to the fact that you're willing to hit him before any Roleplay had even started. As you approached the drug dealer, he made off (of course). You said, 'Don't make off, or force will be used', and you chased him for 15 seconds. The bike stops due to it breaking down, (you could visually see that there was smoke coming off the bike and you could've prepared to decamp off of your bike and either chase him on foot and or engage in roleplay with him) the player gets off of the bike, and you start beating him, which sends him flying. You provided 0 roleplay to this person except for 8 words which reminded me of an ArmA Initiation. You could've chased this player on foot since his bike broke down and he got off the bike. You could've roleplayed with him since he couldn't exactly go anywhere besides possibly running off. You could have easily kept up with him since he was on foot and your bike was not damaged. The player did not display or draw any weapons on you. So you had the advantage here to tase him to then cuff him. Instead, you still decided to hit him with the taser, instead of shooting it at him. Then his 'friend' arrives and hits you with a machete. 

This video that you've provided is absolutely horrendous; this behaviour is not on. Each player should be making the scenario enjoyable for others and not just shutting down someone's roleplay instantly, as you did in this report.

Moving onto the exploit claim in this report, @ICEKILLER_99 . In regards to cancelling the animation, this would be deemed exploiting. Anything that cancels an animation that in itself allows you to 'sell drugs quicker' is deemed exploiting, and it is punishable by a permanent ban. However, this time due to your clean record and that your first sentence in your first reply was that you apologised straight away for it and recognised that it was wrong.

Moving onto the RDM claim for both ID 297 and 309, in this specific circumstance, I do not see the RDM claim from 297 due to the fact that you started beating him, to which he pulled a machete out and downed you. However, 309 approaches you on a bike and gives you a taste of your own medicine and begins striking you with a Machete, and you manage to tase him. As you're running to cuff him, this is when 297 runs up behind you and downs you. In this circumstance, ID 309 did RDM due to the fact that he was not wearing the same clothing as his 'friend', and there was no information given such as ID 309 approaching the officer and saying anything such as; 'Get away from my friend, or I'm going to kill you Officer' etc...
