Brief Summary:
Reimplement the role for community manager again.
Detailed Suggestion:
Previously there was community managers (FriendlyFireGuy, Edgar Ville, Nalurah, KingGodDiabloZ) where members of the community could speak to the community manager about concerns, ideas, events or propositions for the community however there has not been anyone within the role since KingGodDiabloZ. In my own opinion I felt the role was quite helpful to the server as it acted as a liaison between the community, staff, development and management. A couple months ago there was a community meeting where everyone was able to voice their opinions and the server made some real progress with peoples voices being heard. Instead of this being a once in a blue moon sorta thing, a community manager can gather information from the community to see what direction that the community would like to go towards and relay that back to the appropriate channels. The community manager could also work alongside the event team to host events as was done previously with the role.
The Pros:
- Better communication between community, staff, management and developers
- Focus on more events
The Cons:
- Possibly not as well used as previous?
Id like to see what everyones thoughts on this would be, thanks for any input!
