Hello, im hoping to get a new headset soon as my astro a40's are almost broken. Can anyone recommend a headset with surround sound, or just good sound and a decent mic?

pros+ Great 7.1 sound, great Microphone, very comfortable, light as a feather, comes with a external soundcard which performs very well.

cons- The only downside is the Sennheiser driver software - you have the option to choose between 2,4,5.1 or 7.1 channel - that's it. No equalization nor surround adjustments

Thanks for the reccomendation however it's a bit pricy I have around £120 :(

I just bought a Corsair Gaming H2100 wireless headset ot replace my broken Tritton AX Pro.

Virtual 7.1 that sounds pretty good (be on switched on/off)

Headset isnt too heavy - around 320g.

Memoryfoam and microfiber lined pads so not as sweaty as leatherette pads.

Wireless - 9hr battery

Cons - memory foam can take a few hours of wearing-in to mould to your head to seal the earcups. Once moulded though it's fine.

It was £80. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CA-9011127-EUCGH2100-Wireless-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00NHJQ8CA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448964290&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+gaming+h2100

I'd recommend you to take a look at the Logitech G430! I have been using that headset for about a year now and so far I've had 0 issues with it. It's not even that expensive compared to other quality headsets (Around 50~60 pounds)!

There's also a newer version called the Logitech G930 which has some increased sound quality and other specs, but that one is a bit more expensive, about 100~120 pound on most webstores.

I hope that helps!

EDIT: The G430 is actually on sale on Amazon! Take a look!
