Racing scene Suggestion

I have a couple of suggestions on the way I have previously seen the racing scene and how it can be improved that will hopefully revive the scene fully with full races and that in turn provide police with different types of rp instead of having shootouts a lot having things like longer chases and prolonged rp like having police take part in races so on so forth

1 - Fake plates - this is to obviously hide the identity of the person driving if they have enough money to get them. It also makes the police have to work that bit harder to try to find out the exact person that is driving the vehicle ( I understand this can also be used in other ways for more serious crime which is why I don't think everyone should be able to get them instantly should be a hard thing to come by)

2 - NOS - using a small amount of NOS that can recharge over a period of time such as the way they do on some cars already in the city this just allows for overtakes and quicker acceleration to try and use to your advantage if used correctly but is also classed as an (illegal modification)

3 - Harnases - These can be used as a modification to the car that can stop you from flying out the windows at high speeds and also just act as an extra safety barrier for the racer

4 - Car Damage - unsure if this is in the city already but if you take certain damage you will lose the like of a wheel and that will be nearly enough disable the car completely which will help the police catch you if you make a mistake and will also make racers more aware of how they are racing as to not take more damage or the car will be useless ( I get a body kit will likely fix this but it takes a min to actually complete one of them now which will either slow you down enough to get caught off the police or if you run the police can use the VIN of the car while it is disabled to find out who owns the vehicle or it will make you loose some positions within the race

5 - sabotage - a way to sabotage opponents in small ways to try to give you the upper hand in the races that will increase your chances of winning

6 - adding dirty money - using things like dirty money to pay for the iligal mods and again this will add different rp as they will have to clean the money in some way i.e through legal businesses or other ways I haven't yet thaught of.


I believe that these will also open up new venues of RP through an "illegal mod shop" that someone can take charge of also and can be expensive as they are classed as illegal mods ofcourse there is more that can be added to the list of mods to cars that can be added and as I previously stated a different way of rp that police and crimes could go down so it's not just a shootout nearly every time an altercation happens with the police you would have to be tactical and also maybe help friends get out by picking them up trying to block police so npas is utilised and so on I fully understand that this could be a pain for the devs to add these things into the server but it's a way in which I believe the racing scene can be kicked up a gear to help give different things to do other than lampost at places or fight with guns they can settle smaller things by racing also. thank you for reading this
 
The racing scene does need a revamp, tbh we haven't really seen prime racing on the server. I think before moving on to the bigger suggestions we should focus on the foundations.

Currently from my understanding the process of setting up races is one that is quite lengthy (not from expirence but from what i've been told) this from my experince has detered players who are interested in the space from setting up races ect a simple solution would be to make it more acessable to players -> easier for people to find how to do it + cheaper/less time consuming to set up.

moving on to the suggestions mentioned above:

I really do love the fake plates idea. Just to expand on it I think it would be quite cool to have people aquire these plates from legal jobs and be able to sell them to mechanics
- During bin runs you can search bins and get tarnished plates whihc you are able to sell to mechanics who can repair and install them on customers vehicles
- Might be stretch but maybe with a scredriver tool players able to take plates of taxis after doing a few jobs (doing this would reduce the refund you get ofc and would largely be just for getting into the rp)

With the dirty cash I don't think its a very clever idea a it adds a bit too much complexity and in my eyes low key reduces the realism of the server instead what could be cool is if mechanics were to only except cash in hand for tasks like this in order to avoid a paper trail which can be and is done irl.

As for the damage I think its already a decent system with you being able to smoke out fairly easily which in my opinion gives the police a decent advantage.

Overall the racing scene is in need of a revap through accessabilty and new tools/systems to RP through.

The whole racing app recently underwent a whole revamp thanks to DukeOfSussex which made everything a lot better. Creating races is quite easy and so much faster than the old system, now with the ability to make tracks public so anyone can run them. The racing scene as a whole has seen a lot more interest lately, mainly due to @ABEZZX 's work on the racing series. As a whole, it has never been cheaper and easier to try racing now (if you speak to the right people).

1. Fake plates would be great though would have to be somewhat limited so every gangster and the mum can't put fake plates on every car and go to war with them

2. NOS would be very cool if it was an upgrade which you have to get refilled after use so it can't be spammed but I imagine this would be quite difficult to code in for every car.

3. Harnesses would be great to have in available for high speed cars and police / RPU

4. I don't think losing wheels is possible in GTA and to be honest I would be raging if I was have a good race or chase and tap something to see my wheel go flying off the other direction

5. Kind of already possible. You can pop peoples tires though it is a little obvious. Sabotaging each other is pretty frowned upon on RP anyway but could be funny

6. For this i'd look at @Stevie 's post (https://www.roleplay.co.uk/threads/car-boosting.424992/#post-2498525). Pretty much covers everything

1. Fake plates - I agree with this but disagree that they should be hard to get. They shouldn't be that hard to get, nor be stupidly expensive. If every gangster has one then so what? Police can stop them/catch them and check vins.

2. NOS would be cool but seems like too much work

3. Harness seems pointless, the way seatbelts are now is also fine (this is game at the end of the day)

4. Car damage - its perfect the way it is right now.

5. Sabotage - like already mentioned, could be done with spike strips. Other than that I think it woul.d ruin the race scene.

6. Dirty money - seems unnecessary

+1 to Fake plates.

i have seen some other servers where the likes of wheels coming off is a possibility but I get what your saying to the rest of it as I said it has been a little while since I have done much in the racing scene

losing tires is possible base game, but it's very hard to do and basically requires you to get run over by a tank(or another heavy vehicle) to actually happen.

mods exist to actually lost tires easier
