If you ''make your presence known'' what tends to happen is people just turn around and take another route to avoid being taxed.
Potentially, though only stupid people would attempt to drive away from several armed gang members.

The reason why this checkpoint is barely used is because it is simply not finished/incomplete. On the west side, there should be an extra barrier.
Agreed. I also get tired of raising the barrier AFTER EVERY RESET.

So you hit a post after taking shots to your vehicle. Get out and open fire back then decide not to. Then you "clearly" do not shout back as you are switching between direct, side and vehicle chat. It would have been heard as a garbled mess. Looks like you panicked to be honest. I would have done the same if you had already opened fire back.
Indeed. I hit the post after the wheel gives out, I start switching between chats after I'm shot at. It wouldn't sound garbled as vehicle chat transmits to direct chat also. Regardless, there is at least one time where I speak using one of the lines of communication. I get confused after it seems they wanted to talk, and after realising this I attempt to defuse the situation.

You shoot a man running towards you with his weapon lowered and then wonder why they fire back? Hm.

If you had read the post you would've realised this was a reaction shot. Not everyone has the luxury of time to contemplate thinking about shooting. The benefit of retrospection is that the video allows you to do this in a way that is not available to me at the time.

I kind of hate how this has been posted also, directly to the forums, no communication with the players involved, just a straight up calling out of PLF saying that they don't role play...Just seems really dumb IMO.
I have spoken to members of PLF already. How dare you accuse me of not doing so. I also did not accuse them of never roleplaying, I'm merely bringing to light the confusion of the situation. Do not post another ad homenim attack, I do not take such accusations lightly.

I just checked your profile.
And you have some quotes there.
"We're RPing, honest!" - PLF, before shooting you in the face.
I take that as 100% bs. Check the forums and you will find shit loads of movies were we RP and with recomended players.
If you DONT kill a man that try to talk to you, you might get away alive.. But this "do you wanna RP" is just BS.
You also mention "RDM" the only person that shot without saying shit here was you.. So rethink your post.
Tbh you shoud be warned to intentional try to damage our rep, becouse you failed to stop at the checkpoint.
You killed a man who held a checkpoint with his group, and expect not to get fierd uppon.....
My quote was a joke, but I see how it could be offensive and have removed it.
I sincerely apologise for this.
I didn't say anything due to, as I have mentioned before, it seemed like I was being randomly RDMed (no visual identification of anyone, firing when past the checkpoint not before, no demands, no speech).
As the individual running toward me made no effort to communicate, my reaction was to fire. It is one that cost me my life and I will have to work on hampering my trigger finger.
I did fail to stop at the checkpoint, and I would like more discussion about the checkpoint to occur. As I know many players avoid it since it is a hassle to open the gates every reset. A better checkpoint would be better FOR EVERYONE.
I do not expect "not to be shot at", please stop putting words into my mouth.

In all fairness, PLF fired first.. Tyres or not, they fired first.
This whole "shooting out tyres" without any RP first kinda pisses me off, we've had fights with PLF and lots of other gangs that start this way. No communication (because we were clearly far too far away to hear direct) and they just start shooting at our trucks.
Do you really think I'm just going to get out of my truck and stand with my hands up (and probably get shot) after being fired upon? No, Im going to defend myself.
I really hate this shooting of tyres first, it just screams shitty RP.
If you want to stop a truck, set up a proper plan, not "oh they've seen us and are avoiding us.. SHOOT!".
PLF did fire first, and hitting my tires is fine. I just wish their intentions had been made clearer. I agree this kind of RP is getting rather stale of late and is the reason I offered reccomendations. I appreciate standing in the open is a risk, but it's why I call the negotiators "tribute" in situations like these!
