I was banned for (1.6) Failing to report disgusting behaviour to the staff team. (This is what was written on my ban message)

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

I have been recently focusing on my coursework and spending a lot of time playing other games other than Arma 3 which has been quite refreshing to say the least. I have also been refelcting on my past within RPUK these past few weeks as well which then resulted into me making the decision to fill out this unban appeal today.

Why do you want to return ?

Roleplay UK was the base layer for me when it came to getting into the roleplay scene. I dedicated a lot of my free time towards Roleplay UK throughout 2017 leading up to the beginning of 2018. During that time, I had experienced something that was quite extraordinary. I experienced the ability to have fun only the way Roleplay UK could provide. I mananged to meet a lot of nice and people within the community and I must say that most of the people who do play within this community have always provided a high quality expectation of what roleplay is meant to be. I have experienced a lot of what Roleplay UK has to offer whether that would be being a part of the police and NHS. I am going to be honest, I really believe that trying to roleplay as a rebel was never my best feature. I really shined the most when I was roleplaying as a medic and also a police officer. I still don’t know why I went down the route of putting those types of roles that really moulded me as a roleplayer behind me and going down the rebel path that didn’t suit me in the slightest.

I have always done my best to show my loyalty to roleplay UK. I haven’t ever dedicated my time to any other Arma roleplay servers. I understand where I have gone wrong when I have really been a pain in the arse whether that being my previous bans or the stupid decisions I’ve made and for that I do apologise. I just want to be clear that I know I should of reported the disgusting behaviour that took place many months ago from a couple of community members.The time of when this took place was during the early hours of the morning and I should of passed it all on the following day but I just simply didn’t think much of it as I thought they would of just gotten themselves into trouble somehow if that’s the way these people were going about things. I will say that I do not condone the type of behaviour that took place in the channel at that time. It was unfortunate that these events took place in the gang channel I was associated with and I believe that the people who were involved in this toxic act weren’t even members of the gang. I will also be honest, I haven’t got a clue how to collect IP’s because I believe I was accused of this on my departure post. I haven’t got the slightest idea how long this business has been going on that is related to pictures of members of the community being passed around however it was just unfortunate for myself that I was in the channel at the time when these images were being linked. I can assure you now that I have never had any saved images of ANY members of the community as well. What I’m trying to say is, I know I have done my wrong doings for which I have payed the price for however I wouldn’t ever think to stooping to bullying people even though I know I’m guilty of not reporting the behaviour. I do appreciate the 1.6 ban in this case as I have decided to just take this time to actually stay away and do different things and reflect on my past transgressions.

Believe me when I say this.. I understand that I have been a total muppet but even till this day, I still care about my place within RPUK and I do hope that I can be accepted back but this time making sure that I am going down the right path that suits me best within this community because I’ll be honest, I’ve done a lot of thinking during my absence. I do feel this ban has done me some good in regards to how I should make my decisions within Roleplay UK.

Why should we unban you ?

Well I guess in the grand scheme of things, I shouldn’t be unbanned since I have quite the ban chain and like I said previously, I do apologise for that. However, I do have that passion to roleplay and I can’t imagine finding anywhere better on Arma 3. I personally don’t want to associate with any copycat RPUK servers that are caked in toxicity. Don’t get me wrong, I have 100% hung around with the wrong crowd out of my own stupidity during my darkest hours of being a member of Roleplay UK and I am well and truly ashamed of even thinking of making the decisions that I made gang wise. I however don’t aim to be a toxic individual. I genuinely only have myself to blame for being associated with some of the people I played with a long time ago. It didn’t suit me in the slightest and I understand that now. My main problem was definitely who I was choosing to play RPUK with and that was definitely a mistake I made. If I managed to have the glimmer of hope of rejoining Roleplay UK, I would more than likely focus on rejoining the NHS to slowly get back into the groove by just taking it easy with some chilled out patrols. Getting back into rebel life would not be on my agenda as I have discovered the truth that it just simply didn’t suit me. I felt like I overplayed the character as a rebel and I didn’t do myself any favours. Well, I do strongly hope I at least have the tiniest chance of rejoining Roleplay UK and I hope I can also have the community’s trust once more even if it has to be the final time.

Why should we believe anything you say ?.... I think you've had enough "final times" @Naylorunban2

No I actually wouldn’t feel more at home in a toxic community because I’m not actually a toxic individual @Wilco. If you remember, I assisted in naming the toxic individuals during my blanket ban with the poor gang choice I made in early 2018. I mean don’t get me wrong, I played with those folks and yes I regreted playing with them since it impacted my place within the community. These people who are passing around images of members of the community are clearly part of the toxic category. I have never had any images on my PC related to RPUK members. The images you speak of were linked by an individual who was not part of my current gang and was in the channel that I was in because he was friends with a few of the members of the gang. Hell, if you want references on my behaviour, don’t hesitate to seek a very close friend of mine who I have spent the majority of my RPUK time with and that’s @Sgt Steve. Look, I know I’ve had my fair share of bans but I’ve never been someone to do something so deliberate like joining in mass rdm’s or joining in with racism. I wouldn’t of just written up this whole appeal for the good of my health for it to just be a pack of lies. At the end of the day, I do appreciate you not shutting me down straight away Wilco and actually willing to hear me out. Also thanks for getting back to me.

It's really strange... Can't figure out why this group you were involved in was wanting to collect real photos of members (some being under the age of 16 might I add) and their IP addresses.

I guess you didn't report it as that's the type of community you would like to be in... being in KET and all...

Heres the issue I have... if I unbanned you and gave you that golden chance, my thoughts are you'll be banned again within the month

Honestly Wilco, I hadn’t a clue that this IP and photo malarkey was going off even during the time I was part of KET. I can completely understand why you would think that because I was part of that gang, I’m exactly the same as them personality wise however I can assure you that I’m nowhere near close. I joined KET because one of my friends was in that gang who I once played with during my time within the police faction and it wasn’t for seeking to play with toxic people because I can assure you I wouldn’t even say half of the things that came out of most of their mouths. I don’t partake in any racism or server ruining activities because I know without a doubt it’s a one way ticket out of the community. (the roleplay wedding most of the KET members ruined for example) Even the people within the community who know me the best know that I’m never someone who throws racist remarks or hate speech in TeamSpeak.

I can also understand why you would think I would get banned relatively quickly if you were to unban me and really who could blame you? I totally recognise that my ban record hasn’t been the best due to stupid decision making. I’ll say this now, I do apologise for not simply reporting what I saw and heard revolving these images that were passed around. I know it’s no excuse but the time this took place was at around 3 in the morning and I was close to the point on getting to bed. Also the person that was linking these images wasn’t a friend of mine and wasn’t part of my current gang however he was part of KET previously I believe. I was only present because it was taking place in the gang channel I was a member of. In fact, I moved on from that gang not too long after the event of the images being linked. I moved on to joining a gang with Roberts and Whong Cheng which in my eyes was more roleplay driven than anything else. And then a while later I received the ban. I accept the fact that it was my fault that I didn’t take it upon myself to report what happened though. And again, I know it is no excuse but if I knew that this matter was actually getting investigated, I would of given any info forward that I had but even then I still should of thought to report it off of my own accord.

I want to also say that I completely had no clue about IP collecting until I found out from you that it was going on. I don’t even have the slightest clue how to collect an IP. My purpose of being a member of RPUK was and still is to roleplay. I actually CAN roleplay and I’ve had so many people compliment me especially for my professional police roleplay. I’m sorry that you’ve had to speak to me under negative circumstances Wilco and I hope that you can somehow find a way to believe me. I’m not saying I’m an angel because I know I’m not. But I definitely do not share the personality of those KET members.

I do appreciate you getting back to me once again.

I have just done a quick 3 mile run inbetween the appeals I have done today and yours to refresh the mind.

I can see you have put some time into your appeal and gone into it within detail however i cannot help but think if you are unbanned there will at some point be a new gang created with a bunch of the same names as before, the ones that were really toxic who where there before will be replace with new leaders who will turn just as toxic.

So giving you a golden chance here I will say to you... find a new group of people join an existing gang and in future if something does not seem right go and speak with a member of our staff team, there not all here to ban they will listen.

As for your previous bans for low-quality roleplay you are given a fresh slate... however, one ban for shit roleplay can result in a perm ban! There won't be any future permanent appeals from you.
