In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was originally banned for failing to report someone for using a racial slur, after that my channel was terminated and being the child that i was/am i mass rdm'd a poseidon meeting.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

since ive been banned ive just been chilling, i had already quit arma by the time i was banned and so i just went out over summer and now am focusing on my a-levels

Why do you want to return ?

I want to return simply because i dont want to have burned any bridges permanently, which i hope i havent already, also to speak to some old mates and maybe hop on the server from time to time. Ive got close to 2k hours on arma and through all the different servers this one has always been way easier to play just to relax and enjoy than the others that i have tried. At the end of the day i have to sit here and admit that i was wrong and that i really did enjoy my time here and i want to feel that again.

Why should we unban you ?

I have recently had some pretty changing experiences within my life and affecting someone fairly close to me which i feel has forced me to mature and grow up. Even before this other than my stupid outbursts i like to think that im not a bad guy and was usually pretty chill, ask most of poseidon from when i was in there and theyll probrably say the same.
I will completely understand if this is denied with no response because i was an idiot, if any staff want me to answer any questions shoot them my way.

Oh ok... so you was one of the people who together with others planned to RDM a poisedon meeting and shout racist words.

Do you not think you did that at the Poseidon meeting ? If not then I would love to know your thought process on that one! Might be good research for my local zoo.

firstly i would like to address this real quick, while yes i did sit by and not report someone after they used racial slurs i don't and will never use those types of words, i just simply haven't allowed them to enter my vocabulary and don't plan on it.

Do you not think you did that at the Poseidon meeting ?

i did say "which i hope i haven't already" because i feel that i 100% overstepped the line on all levels as although, yes at the time i felt i had a reason and yes i was really pissed off, i then took the time out of my day to go on and fuck up a Poseidon meeting which not only wasted my time and the staff teams time but also all 30 or so members in attendance of that meeting who were just trying to enjoy their night.

No... the racial slurs were used at the RDM, Can you not remember ?... I think your friends will kindly show you a video seeing they wanted to record it for fond memories to look back on in the future and be proud.

As for being "really pissed off" Please can you explain to me why someone being banned for saying the N word multiple times and the people sat in the room not reporting it being banned (something this community doesn't tolerate) makes you pissed off ?

Maybe if that sort of thing pisses you off then this appeal is a waste of time, You should be looking for a community that allows racism so you can sit there and enjoy it.

As i wanted to get the racism out of the way first i will start with that

Yes while there were words said that i'm not massively fond of said at the RDM i didn't personally use any as i have already stated, and there was also no plan regarding the RDM, especially no plan at all to shout racial slurs.

You should be looking for a community that allows racism so you can sit there and enjoy it.

As for this, i am genuinely not a racist person at all if this was the case i would have left the community long ago and the rules and all that with it. I know that it would be a stretch but if you wanted confirmation of this speak to some of the Poseidon lead or staff that have been in gangs with me in the past. While i may be many things racist is not one of them.

I was never pissed off about my ban and while i didnt personally agree with me getting banned for not reporting i do fully understand that i should have been banned and if i were in your/ the staff teams position, with rules to enforce and a community to keep i have no doubt i would have done the same.

I was pretty annoyed because, call me pathetic or whatever but, i was banned from the ts3 and as was most of the gang so after this we went to a private ts and all separated into our private rooms and after about an hour i received an email informing me i had been 1.6 community banned for RDM, i spoke to some of the people in the ts and found out that someone was RDMing and getting everyone in the ts banned which made no sense to me like why would we all be getting banned for something that we didnt know about, so i then tried to contact someone here and see what was going on via email but this attempt led to no avail. The next morning i received an email that a video on my youtube channel had been removed due to copyright which i understood as the video as i knew was pushing the limits a bit with a few images of the website in it, i then went out and when i was coming back i noticed that i could not use my youtube account at all, when at home i checked this and noticed that all of my montages had been taken down due to copyright although i had listened to the requests that had been posted on the video section as to not include the servers name in the title or description. Due to me having 7 or so montages i had hit the 3 month limit of strikes and my channel was terminated.

This was the thing that upset me the most and made me really pissed off, not because i am a racist who loves other racists, but because my channel and all of its videos (most old and unlisted) were terminated and i had no way of recovering it.

I guess i am never going to understand this mentality, Its extremely odd, childish and no way of acting or resolving things.

Usually I find this sort of thing is driven by others... A toxic force, however that does not excuse you for your part in it.

I did plan on if i was allowed rejoining the medics to actually play but mainly to talk to loads of random people because i used to find it funny while checking for passes in poseidon, and my younger brother has recently bought arma to play rpuk so i would likely help him and show him the ropes, other than that i dont really have any plans maybe play a bit with old mates who i still talk to every once in a while such as the people i used to be in poseidon with.

And honestly i have no idea what went through my head either like.

Hope you have learned from this... past that experience on to your brother if he starts to enjoy it here.

You will not overall have a clean slate, Any future mass RDM's or anything connected to racism will be dealt with more harshly outside the new ban system which could lead straight to a permanent ban rather than a temporary one.
