In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Alright so last appeal I made was 2 weeks ago and it was denied I am unsure if am able to appeal again or not since 6 months have not passed.
So firstly I got banned for exploiting because in a montage I made, I was shooting a person by putting my gun through the stairs of a tower. At the time of doing it I didn't think there was anything wrong with it and therefore I uploaded it to youtube. My thinking was that since you can shoot trough the stairs whilst standing it was fine to poke the gun through but I understand now how it is the same as putting your gun through a wall since even if you can shoot through the gaps of the stairs you can't shoot through the steps and that gave me an unfair advantage.
And then there is the more serious ban which is the 1.6 ban I got for well being an idiot. So at the time I was already banned from the server, I was still hanging around the teamspeak as the gang I made bikini bottom was still around altough it was lacking any sort of structure and it completely went off the rails with getting some sort of blanket ban where the people that were causing issues got banned (might be wrong here I cant remember everything 100%)
After that something else happened that I wasn't part of so not sure exactly but I think someone made ddos threats or was trolling or something like that and the rest of the bikini bottom group got banned. At that point I thought I needed to get myself 1.6'd aswell so it would be the same for everyone. Therefore I made that post where I said that I had duped a lot of money and other stuff.
So for the duping, I had learned how to do that on I think it was some random malden life server by a guy on it, we would do it there to get items that you needed to level up on the server without spending a lot of playing time on it. I honestly think that might be the first time I ever cheated in an online game like that. I've never used any kind of cheat menu or something like that which would directly affect other people playing games and I really don't like it when people cheat wether that is in a game or in school or in a relationship. I've always had that mindset ever since I was young. I understand how me duping stuff ruins the experience for others and just ruins the point of the server completely as I would just have a lot of money for cheating when someone putting effort into roleplaying a weed run for example would get a smaller amount. And of course the point of the server isn't to have the most money in the bank it's about having fun with other people but having a lot of money changes what you can do on the server I guess you could say.
I can't remember exactly everything since it has been a year since I got banned but I'm pretty sure I did dupe 40 million with 1 gold bar like I said, though I was overexaggerating saying that I had duped weapons or whatever I said. That I can remember as I have no Idea how you would dupe items that were not from y-menu. I'd like to explain more about the dupe if it is possible to hide my next reply or if I can pm someone, I still remember how you would do it but I won't be able to re-create for a reason I probably should not say in public.
So the reason I decided to dupe was because we needed money to upgrade our gangbase and it was fairly expensive, I thought it would be a good idea to get kenny to help me as he wasn't willing to put the money he already had into upgrading it aswell. Only me and kenny knew about it, I should also say that it was my idea to do it. I know it definetly doesn't justify it but im just trying to explain my thinking at the time. I regret doing it as it really tarnished my legitmicacy being a player on the community but in some way I think it is good that I came clean about it even though I did it in a poor manner. I think I deserve to get my account wiped for me being stupid and cheating like this.
I also said that I had a donator tag on teamspeak for a longtime without donating. When Alex Jackson was staff he gave it to me, I don't remember exactly why and I never really knew the guy very well. I think it was also the first time I even talked to him when he gave it to me.
I didn't think too much of it and then I think someone asked me if I had donated to the server and I said no and they wondered why I had the tag and then I think they said that if staff found out that I had it without donating I would get banned so I just kept quiet about it. I'm willing to donate 5 pounds or however much it is for a donator tag if that would help, if so I'd do that on this account so it wouldn't show on my main account.
What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?
I haven't been playing games as much after I got banned. I've been studying and also got my first dog so I've been taking care of her. Other than that I've played games like CSGO and League of Legends.
Last summer I also repainted by grandfathers house and helped him with some construction work, also helped my dad with construction work.
Why do you want to return ?
So last appeal I said I wanted to get unbanned from teamspeak mostly but I think I worded myself poorly. What I meant more was like I don't want to return just so I can play arma but rather return for the community. I had so much fun playing here doing all kinds of stuff and like socializing with the other players.
Completely new to arma I joined the server together with khalifa back in like november 2016 and some other friends and we instantly got hooked, the other like 12 people we played with left but we kept playing, joining different gangs, unmc and police. I have tried to play some other servers but really like khalifa said in his own appeal this server is different, it is about the way it is run, how rules are enforced, the staff members being fair and just and of course all the people playing. I haven't been a part of too many gaming communities but of the ones I have been a part of this one is definetly the most friendly. I also think that it is just like a chill experience to play on the server.
Why should we unban you ?
I think at atleast some points of me being on the community I've done stuff that have benifited the server, for example I made some suggestions on how to improve the server. I lead some gangs altough I think in the end it turned out pretty badly for almost all of them. At one point i was a Trainer in AR and I would do tests and help out with the recruitment part of it.
I just want to leave all the dumb things I've done in the past behind and improve and get better as person.
I would really appreciate another chance to prove that I can be a member of the community and there won't be any issues with me moving forward as there have been in the past.
