In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was banned because I made a community that was focused on RP, and i invited other players to join it, so i assume i was banned for advertising.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

not much, playing else where and keeping myself to myself

Why do you want to return ?

i would like to return to be able to play with friends again with any awkwardness

Why should we unban you ?

well, the main reason i would like to be unbanned is so i can play with pals again without putting them in an awkward posistion,
the whole situation was a bit strange revolving my ban and was more of a he say she say sort of thing, at the time i was running and admining a ark server unofficialy for RPUK , but no body seemed interested in it and the player base consisted of my friends from steam, so i decided to start my own ark server, neo offered to put me a forum on his web box, i only invited my friends from my personal steam account to join the steam group, after wards i joined TS and spoke to RAM and told him about it and inviting my friends , just to cover my own back, but i recieved a ban anyway, wich i can understand, as i was told that a certain young gentleman informed management i was ''spamming him'' when infact he was on my friends list and recieved one invite to the group, then a giant shit storm kicked off, i got permed and so did my friends, we sat in a channel and decided we was not going to launch a arma server and i was going to focus on a ark server, wich i did for aout 2 weeks, it was only after hearing rumours of us being accused of stealing files and other shit that we decided ''fuck it'' and launched one, 99% of all the issues between each community where chinese whispers so i honestly dont know who said what.
so back on topic, i recently stepped down as management at the other community due to real life commitments and illness in the family, i havnt got time for it all and just want to get back to playing arma for fun, i have stayed in contact with friends from rpuk, but we never really get to play together because its always awkward that somebody might get in trouble. i have to be honest, i dont have any grudges , what ever decision is made , i havnt been banned at the other place and ill probably play there aswell as here if this gets accepted, so yeah, upto you guys

I have had a conversation with Adster behind the scenes in the lead up to this appeal, along with a management chat on if its the right time and everyone's thoughts considering what went on.

Let's get to the point, The reason you was banned was not because you created your own community it was because you then was adding a several numbers of players from Roleplay.co.uk steam group to this "community's" steam group, a number of players reported this and some reported there was several invites to themselves.

I believe you knew what you was doing and knew what would happen, There was also reports from longstanding players here being approached to run factions on your server from yourself.

After this, you then proceeded to be extremely petty towards Roleplay UK and its staff team which was all one sided (Apart from what Vladic said on his streams which is an un-official steam)

During this, there were threats to myself which you have helped identify who this was in that community's staff team and that matter is concluded.

During your time in management at this new community, you allowed people to post some quite vile comments about our community and members and took no action when people was here to troll, While over on Roleplay UK we did not allow anyone to post anything bad about your community or players in our status updates, forums and in fact we banned someone from our server who reportedly went on a mass RDM on your server, I am sure you will agree this shows the higher standard of the way Roleplay UK is ran.

From your unban appeal I am not seeing many apologies in regards to that and would like to see one with an acceptance that the way you and your new community acted towards Roleplay UK was unacceptable.

First of all thanks for the reply and for allowing me to explain my side of things. Regardless of the outcome, the fact my appeal is being treated on it's merits shows that you guys are doing things the fair way.

I realize in my first appeal, I may not have come across apologetic. I was to focused on describing what happened and did not focus enough on my feelings about that now.

First off, the comments that were posted. I agree in hindsight a lot of those things went out of line and should never have been allowed to stay up. In the light of the way things went between our communities in those first few weeks, we were not being especially nice or positive about anything that had to do with RPUK. When people who got banned on this community came over to ours and started ranting, we did not stop them from doing so because we were trying to keep people at our place. A lot of the things that were said and done I know now to be based on incorrect information. There is the whole accusation of attacks on one anothers community, that was believed by a lot of people at the time, me included, without it ever being clear where those accusations got there merrit from.

I would like to apologize for my role in this. We, as a split off community, tried to do a lot of things different to how they were done here. In our attempt to outshine RPUK on things like toxic posts being hidden, we forgot to make our decisions based on facts and evidence. I'm sad to say we did indeed allow people to make those posts in the hopes it would make RPUK look bad and make us look good. I realise now that by giving voice to very toxic people and allowing their opinions to get a public stage was wrong and in fact makes us look a lot worse than RPUK.

As for my pettiness towards RPUK.. Again, I must admit that I have been guilty of petty thoughts and I have said petty things. All I can do is ask for forgiveness for this behaviour. I know it's not a strong defence, but a lot of the things I said and did were based on incomplete information or were based on ''facts'' that were presented to me by people who are not exactly in a position to have a fair and unbiased look on reality.

When it comes to inviting people, I have indeed invited people who were on my friends list on steam. I only add people on steam I consider to be friends and people that I like and get along with. I never intended to be the guy who sends recruitment messages to people he barely knows. But some people on my list appearantly did not consider me to be their friend but found my approach of them uncalled for and felt they were being poached. I understand why they felt this and realize that I as a person am very outspoken, which may lead to people being overwhelmed by things I say. I did intend to recruit people for my steamgroup, about that I have already been honest with you. I however never intended this steam group, at its creation, to grow to its own rivalling community which tries to convince people to leave another place to join this.

I also admit that I have approached people in whitelisted factions on RPUK to come and be part of/lead factions on our community, when our ideas started to take shape. I am very sorry and realize there is no excuse for doing this. All I can say was that the people I approached are people I considered then and now to be my friends. I did not want to be seperated from them so I tried to ask them to join our side instead. But none of those who I asked ever seriously considered it and they told me this straight away, which I have respected ever since. I have not been approaching those people for roles on our community after they told me no. 

Again, I would like to apologize for my full role in anything that happened, from the initial inviting people to my steam group, to the hostility between our communities. For the attempted poaching of your whitelisted faction members. And above all for not stepping in and letting the pettiness get the better of me when it comes to the toxic comments about RPUK that were made on a forum that I had control over.

This is me holding up my hands, saying ''Mea culpa, mea culpa.. Mea maxima culpa'' and sincerely hoping that my transgressions can be forgiven. If there is anyone who, after this apology, feels they have personally been insulted or wronged by anything I have said, done or by anything that I could have prevented but did not, I am more than willing to have a talk with these persons to apologize in person.

If there are any more questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them as completely as possible. For now I think I have said everything I have to say and I shall surrender myself to the mercy of your judgement.

Thank you for your detailed response, We are happy to welcome you back to Roleplay UK and I will work now to lift your bans under the condition your not in any position in that community or any other Roleplay communities going forward (This doesn't mean you cannot play elsewhere it means you cannot hold a position if you wish to play here based on what happened - That includes roles in forums, servers, TeamSpeak, steam groups etc ) 

We will also advise our factions that it's a clean slate you can join them however not get involved in any leadership of them for the first 12 months at least, We can review this in the future should this be something you get interested with and should that faction be interested in you. (Police/NHS/UNMC)

If you are happy with that then we will start working to unban you.

On a side note to members who will read this, this again shows our adult approach to dealing with things and that our management team will issue unban's to people we believe to be sincere and understand the error of their ways.

 
perfectly fine by me, i shall not be taking any positions of power nor do i plan to , and thank you for giving me a second chance
