PC issue

sorry but everyone needed to know about your flying skills :p
or lack of.

Reading the OP, It's definitely your PSU/mobo, try bridging/clearing your CMOS. This should defo fix the problem... Experienced a similar problem.

Will give that a go aswell.

Still want to do your surveillance training? :)

Check your condensers aka capacitors. Any swelling on them should be replaced immediately.

I'll give that a check aswell when I get home, cheers :)
Don't

If your computer is new (stated previously) You are going to end up voiding warranty if you start swapping out capacitors for new ones, or even just opening the PSU (they are not user servicable).

Although its a perfectly good practice, personally I have had a 40" 32" & 50" tv's for free well £2.40 for new caps, so agree its a great thing to do, and not everything should be throwaway.

But in this scenario, this is silly as you paid good money for a product to work, the company is responsible to ensure it does.

I assumed he meant the ones on the mobo, which would just be a visual check. I have no plan on taking anything apart like that xD

any REPUTABLE system buying users Solid Jap Caps anyway.

Electrolytes are what plants crave.

Power supply over wattage, faulty CPU or its overheating, Bad/Old RAM. These are my guesses. A Power Supply over wattage can happen very often and without and warning. A faulty CPU could be because it's old, or it could overheat because your room temps are high or simply because it's getting warm. The RAM might be faulty or it could be all used. When I used to have 8GB RAM I would either get BSOD or the same as you. Hope this helped! Have a good night.

Well after getting a surge protector it seems to be all stable now :)  Hasn't crashed since then (only twice when I knocked the power out with my foot)

Thanks for all the tips!
