So first we would need a location in the city where we can process wood into paper. Maybe a multi-step process Wood > Pulp > Paper
This would give you paper which can then be cut into either business cards or posters and maybe more eventually. The cutting would be a crafting recipe that requires you to have a knife. You can then take them to a printing place where you submit a link to an image which is then printed on the card/poster. When they are printed you can no longer change the image but maybe you could recycle printed paper back into wood pulp at a lower return than what you used to make it.
All items that are printed should log the person that printed them just incase of images that violate rules or mass copies of text that violates rules. Notes when finished writing can't be edited so the author of those can also be logged incase of abuse.
Posters
Posters would be given to people and when used they would display the image printed on them on the screen the same as enlarging a picture on tweedle.
Business Cards
Business cards would be able to be used to show them in the same way you can show your ID. You can also give them to people so they can look at them when needed.
Notes
Notes are pieces of paper you have written on. These can then be passed to other players and when used only the player holding the note will read it. This opens up a lot of new rp such as secretly passing notes to someone so nobody hears what you say or writing down statements for the police. To make a note you could just use an uncut piece of paper or there could be a note item you have to make first by cutting the paper.
Books
Made with multiple pieces of paper and some leather books would be a way to introduce an entire new job. People would be able to write and sell books be it fiction or non-fiction. People could write guides to certain things in the city, write stories and sell them to people who enjoy reading. They could also be useful to write down information in a business so you can keep track of things in a way that all your employees can see and write in if needed. Blank books could be used to write stuff by hand and would be used for stuff like a log book in a business and printed books could be made with blank books at the place where you would print posters and business cards. Printed books would allow writers to easily produce plenty of copies of their book without having to re-write the story by hand.
Pros:
So much versatility from just a few items.
Allows for more detailed RP and opens up more RP options in certain scenarios
New jobs, selling paper, writing books, delivering notes or even a paper recycling service
Cons:
Printing location could require a new interior depending where it is
