I have just tested this on the live server, but I cannot seem to reproduce it.
If it happens again could you please post a screenshot of any errors in the f8 console.

Just checked now, a prompt appears saying I have keys for the vehicle, if I try to lock/unlock the vehicle with L nothing happens
No error message appears in the F8 console
