If someone in the NHS accepts a players resound for help in should tell the player who is down Help is on the way so players know if someone is coming to help or not

(own opinion, not staff and shit)

Ask your mate or someone to ring the NHS to see where they are or if they are coming. This isn't Arma.

@ThirtyKyou cant ring the nhs only message in game unless you have a friend in the nhs to witch you don't get a reply 96% of the time. having  a timer or distance counter would greatly help not only the player in need but any roleplay event eg people can be ready for the nhs's arrival. Rather then just sitting there with no info to see if they are on to provide help ingame as all you get in OOC chat is (find out in rp) this is no help tbh

Yeah this would be great then we could get the classic "I CaN smELl thE MEdiCs They'RE NeArByE" to return from Arma. Also the 'Find out in RP' that you get when you ask in OOC is because you need to find out in RP rather then meta gaming the info.

I meant text them sorry.

@Zulufighteri can agree and good times lol XD. but i do think we should have some eg even a dispatch number for nhs so non downed people can find out currently have nothing tbh

@ThirtyKok but even still you dont get a reply even if you leave your number with it. now dont get my wrong i know the nhs does there best but it also then helps us players

The main question is here, why do you need to know if any NHS are around ?

"So we know whether to respawn or not"

"So we dont waste our time waiting"

"Gives assurance that help is coming, and we wont lose our items"

If one of these is your answer (or something like it), then no thats wrong. You dont need to know, its roleplay. If you are downed in the city, try and shout to get people's attention to help you. If you get downed on the mountains just pray that the NHS will come. Why were you up in the mountains ? Did you not "take care of yourself" and "make sure you dont get injured" ? It is your fault for getting downed in the first place, but some people choose to blame the NHS for "not doing their work" and "not active". Thats why people complain in OOC asking where is NHS and stuff like that.

You get downed and instantly you ask "Any NHS on ?" cause you want to know if help is coming. Lets say you know that there are NHS around, but they didnt come and help you and you died, you lose your items. What would you do/ say then ? Of yourse you'd shit talk the NHS cause you KNOW for a FACT that they are around but they chose not to help you. Well you're wrong. Imagine the hundreds of other people that are on the server and have the same problem as you. You think the NHS can save everyone ? They are not on the server to revive people. They are there to provide medical roleplay, ask what happened to you/ check up on you, evaluate your injuries and then follow protocols to help save your life. The are on the server to "have fun roleplaying as a doctor". Being an imaginary doctor that they may or may not be in real life. Then there is normal civilians getting ran over by locals or shot at by some random gangster and probably get treated then just continue your day like nothing happened.

TLDR If you get help, you get help. If not, then thats the story/ roleplay that happened. You cant do anything about that. You think theres too little NHS in the city ? Then apply to be one then. "I dont want to be a medic. I dont know medical stuff" Then deal with it. You die, you die. Simple as.

you not knowing if they're coming or not is part of RP

take the risk and wait the 40 or so minutes, in case a medic is on duty
or
respawn

@Ravenzzzwell you could say that pressing r to alert nhs to your exact position while down isnt role play as how would you be able to do that. you should wait for someone to find you ??? and as for "You think theres too little NHS in the city" ive already stated "now dont get my wrong i know the nhs does there best"

@Nikolaiand we do but its about enhancing a players experience and making thee most of the time that people get to play on the server eg some people work all day so to spend 40 mins on the floor out of a possible 2-3hrs that they have isnt great tbh but this way they would know whether to die and follow NLR but still make money other ways

At the end of the day it is a game and people come on the server to roleplay. Thats why you get to press a button to alert the NHS so they can find you and initiate medic roleplay. I dont think people realize that the NHS is on the server to roleplay, not save lives. If the roleplay leads to you having severe injuries and its literally impossible to save you, they can literally  DNR you (Kill you, make you respawn) so you can lose your "valuable items" either way. But NHS on the server dont do that often cause they understand people wanna keep playing and not lose their items, it feels bad to lose progress, so they try to create scenarios that make sure you recover. Its also a trait of being an NHS that you want to "save lives" and not kill people, hence they dont DNR every single person. But it is possible.

@Ravenzzz But are we all not???? this has nothing to do with the medics roleplay but the players and waiting to see if or when a medic will arrive. The fact your trying to say this somehow takes role play away from medics blows my mind this way it would probably give them more as people are less likely to respawn as the would know 1.A medic is on and 2. if there coming if they are on. but hey we could go back and forth so ill leave it there.
