hello my name is Mr Milo i am the Mayor of Altis for this term, and as of 16th of September to the 1st of November. i am making it that all police in Altis have to wear yellow uniform  while on normal patrol. if and officer is going to an bank OP or hostages he DOSE NOT have to wear the yellow uniform (to make sure u don't stand out like a sore thumb on top of a hill), he can wear his normal black uniform.

We need every police officer to be as marmitey as possible

yes mayor's dont make laws, and it may be fun for you but every cop will be destroyed in any tactical situation, the yellow uniform is for road traffic to be high vis, we wont make officers stand out like a saw thump in tactical situations.

I can foresee the future.... This will happen

1. Police, Inspectors are gonna demonstrate 
2. Kavala will be unsafe as f**k outside GZ
3. Mayor will be hated for and sued by civilians who got killed ( RP Wise Family Member of cassualtie )
4. Mayor Altis is a democratic Country ppl voted for u because of the promises u made if u don't fullfill  those promises you and  your gang are going to have a hard time

and btw we don't have an MP on the island. And I come from a small island myself called the Isle of Man were our mayor makes laws

The mayor used to have power now nobody takes the role seriously, when I was mayor you basically have no power, you get taken hostage ALOT and the police turn up 1 out of 7 times... me and a friend did an experiment to see if they would turn up but nope I believe the message that was sent back was something like "you can keep him"... its clear nobody cares about the mayor its purely an RP role..... it can be fun if you make it though.

I do believe the mayor should be given some sort of power though, lets be honest a suit, office and an exploding mayor car isn't really much

Yeah right now being mayor can only be taken as far as the RP you do with it, It'd be nice to have some actual power or control over things in game, but hopefully that will come in due time. Everyone's mayoral term is a bit different, I had a lot of fun in mine and a big part of how you're treated during your time as mayor comes from how you campaign, and how you carry yourself once elected. I advertised my run for mayor to most of the old police force and despite getting lucky on only being taken hostage 3-4 times, I'd end up with quite a nice police response as I wasnt doing hardcore rebel stuff alongside being mayor. I did however notice that the police liked to enjoy pulling me over for speeding a hell of a lot more than they do nowadays

I fail to see the point of a Mayor who can't change a law other than making Go-Karts legal/illegal simply because the police disagree with it. Could just be me though.
