My HyperX 7.1 broke a few days ago. This is the third HyperX Headset I have owned and they always break within a few months, so I'm looking for something else :)

Budget: Around £80 (flexible)

Requirements:

- 7.1 surround sound

- Preferably noise canceling

- Suitable for Gaming/Music

If anyone has any suggestions it would be extremely helpful. I really am clueless atm as to what to buy. Thanks in advance!

I almost bought a new headset every year triton turle-beach logitech but i almost have they hyper cloud x 2 for a year and its amazing. good quality double ear pads so u can see what you prefer. Good mic. amazing suround sound https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-Mobile/dp/B00SAYCXWG/ref=pd_lpo_147_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PE6DM2KQGWFJ71TSNK9R

Thanks and all but I have literally bought 3 of this exact headset and each time it has broken within a few months; I really need something better.

when it comes to headsets don't think about surround sound as it pretty much makes no difference, a well done single speaker can have a much better impact on your sound than having seven tiny ones forced into an earpad, what you need to look at is it's mHz range and it's impedence this is usually at about 100 ohms but the lower the better.

this is my current headset and it's amazing it's a little out of your price range that you mentioned but previous versions are still available at a cheaper price

such as these, this is my old headset, it's about half the price and performs very well i only had to replace as after years of use the cable came loose and one ear didn't always work. but as i mentioned there are many models to choose from at varying price ranges.

looking at the hyperx headset it has a decent range and a good impedence, the only thing i was say is it's sound pressure level is pretty low which if you want to clearly pick out individual sounds you'd want it a bit higher but as it's priced at about £70 it looks fairly decent but as I say it all depends on what exactly you're looking for.

Logitech G430's not the most comfortable for long and extensive use but are around £50 and are slightly noise cancelling and are 7.1 surround sound. Mine haven't broken since I got them just under a year ago

I have a Turtlebeach earforce X12, don't know if it's still being produced / sold but it has good surround sound and noise cancellation. The X12 microphone broke due to an accident with my cat's teeth impaling the mic and I changed to a blue yeti blackout edition to use as microphone while still using the headset.
