New donator package

Today we have launched our new donator package - More details can be found here

The donator package is replacing the old tiered version, This now makes it more affordable for everyone as well as keeping the server funded and maybe encouraging more people to donate in the long term.

This is going forward from today any previous donators will be set to this package for there remaining time.

In the past we have lost track of donators and haven't been able to enforce the following rule

5. The donator perks are for you and you only, Anyone seen sharing donator guns/cars with there friends could result in there and there friends account being banned ( We check garages and ingame items regularly)

With addition to now being in a position to enforce this rule to make sure the server keeps being funded and revenue is not effected the following rule is in affect from today.

This new donator package makes our server highly competitive in terms of other altis life servers out there.

The rule about sharing I can understand it when it comes to weapons and attachments but letting my clan members use my second Mohawk will profit not only my member but me as well because we share the cash in our gang. And being an ass about that is not cool or understandable because I've never seen you guys go under your donations goal the last two-three months...

So please make it so it don't affect the vehicles, make it for the items (weapons and so on)

I've spoken to the ASR and my gang members in TC and we all agree on this that I just said.

Vehicles and Weapons are and always have been a perk for the donator only, People have been known to sell these perks (which is cheating the community out of revenue) and also its been seen that one person would buy it in a gang and share with the rest of the members meaning they wouldn't donate, Again cheating the website and server out of revenue.

if i have 3 normal hemtt's i would lend my friends them so they could use those, like i do with me mohawks...

and you are leaving a grey area aswell, what if i spawn the chopper and my game crashes, or someone shoots me as i spawns it? it would end in a open chopper at the garage, that anyone could take and fly away just to lockpick it and use it. - would that result in a ban of me and the one who stole it?

and last, i choose to donate 20 pound to support the server, that's a lot of money for me, but if i want to share my vehicles with my friends, let me do it!

edit :Wait i just read 7. again i will lose all cars helis etc if i choose not to re donate ?? Really i spent millions and at the time when i bought them permantly i was not told i would lose them after my donater status has ended.

Sense of fair play is lost here.

Not sure I will be donating if it only gives me vechiles for 1 month. This should only apply for weapons.

Agreed with rule 5, which should also be reserved for weapons since cars and helis are a bit of a grey area as Crazyone explained.

Weapons is perfectly fine and understandable but vehicles?

Like crazyone said what if someone steals it do you both get banned when you do a check, well that seems unfair.

And if i let a friend lockpick my Mohawk in order to get the keys how would you check that?.

Again weapons fine with me, but vehicles is just game breaker for me.

I've spent 20 pounds because of these vehicles and have been spending alot of time on the server to get all of them which i now have, only to find out they'll be removed if i don't "donate" again then it's basicly becoming "pay or lose your shit" instead of a donation.

You have been hitting the donation goal with ease every month since i've been here.

And remember we're donating to keep the server running, so what is the problem when we hit the donator goals every month without problems, even when we're sharing vehicles with each other.

I am not liking some of these rules are you going to give me a refund when I cant join the server because it is to busy which is happening more & more?

I often lend my Mohawk to my friends as

1. They chipped in when we were poor to help fund it.
2. Quite frankly some of them are better pilots than me.

The reason this server is successful is in part to the work you guys have done I do not question that, but us the regular players also had a lot to do with it as well!

I now feel like I am being punished for supporting you this may not be true in your eyes but it does feel like it. 

I would suggest as a compromise maybe you could consider drawing a line in the sand all those that have vehicles bought before the new rules come in to force get to keep them permanently as that is what we signed up for in the first place.

DO NOT LIKE. Also, the deleting donator vehicles when donator status expires seems a bit harsh. I have bought a bunch of hatchback sports as I like the different skins KR has made. These should remain in my garage until they are seized by police if used in a crime. Seems a bit unfair to wipe them from the database if I don't donate each month.

Wouldn't bi-monthly additions/changes to available skins on donator vehicles or even vehicle types be a better way of maintaining donators. For example if next month, the Ken Block hatchback was replaced with a Royal Mail van, I would donate again for access to the new skins/vehicles.... as well as helping the server but I can't afford to donate every month as I am living below the breadline IRL.

So reading this thread i feel that most of us are not happy with all of the new rules concerning donator status and i hope that Wilco will consider changing them.

I also wonder if there is more to it Data storage? or is it just away to generate a steady income to keep the server running and growing.

We all know that you scored big with your idea of the server and alot us stuck in there offering support both in hard cash and being part of it in our own ways.

But it does feel like a fuck you for some of us regulars and that if we go there will be others to replace us with cash and support , its a gamble for you to take but hey its your server right so you will always have the last word on how you run it.

I would hate to see it drop away to be just another server that offers RP.

In response to this i won`t be re donating again but thats just me. i sold over 6million worth of my donator cars and helis for a fraction of their worth in case you decide to keep your new rules and my game experience is now diminished .

If you do change it so people can both keep their cars etc and amend the sharing of assets without intsa ban im sure people will still support you and the server in cash and regular use.

I urge you to rethink this and remember that yes its a great server that you have made but its the people and their support that made it awesome.

This is basically a pit fall trap here. We fall down a pit and you shout from above "throw your wallet up and we'll give you a ladder". Then after we're half way up you shout "Give us your watch or we take the ladder back". I can understand how you want people to have an incentive to donate again. but what you're doing is backing us into a corner and stating that if we don't keep the cash coming you're going to make sure its more difficult for us in game. I love this server, but this is the last straw, if this keeps up I'll have to stop donating.

Seems more of a business scheme move than a community move.

You can't expect to run a community solely based on donations, that is one of the risks of starting up your own server.

Edit: It's like giving your mobile phone back to the service provider because your contract has run out and you opt out on renewing it.

Rule 7 has been dropped, as per the original rules rule 5 stands to stop the selling and sharing of donator perks which I believe is a very fair rule.

you are very wrong and the sooner you stop thinking like that the better off we will all be.

Most of the people who donate are on the server eveyday Rping their nuts off to have fun and create it for others.

I was about to write something like this.

In the end of the day everyone likes to donate to get stuff AND helping the server.. now when people talk like that and use examples like we are a extortion company, sorry i don't like those kind of comments.

You don't need to donate, and pretty much you have nothing to complain about. We appreciate EVERYONE's donation, but i mean get real, these are perks not something we owe you.

Let me put it like this, who of you actually would donate monthly without perks?

Saying stuff like "i can't get in the server to use my perks" for example makes Wilci's point pretty valid, although i'm with you guys on the slots thing pretty much because i think if someone gets in the server, he should be able to play.

I saw only 2 constructive criticism in this topic, everything else for me is trash talking.
