Need a new PC need help!

Right then! Is there anyway to tell which cables I will need for the items listed?
you will need whatever power cable are on your Hard drives already, the big 24Pin connector onto the Mobo, an 8 pin connector that's also probably on the mobo, and a 6 pin PCI-E power connector (your existing GPU seems to have this already)  and you will need either another one of these, or an 8-pin PCI-E power connector, depending on if you get the MSI Gaming 4G GTX 970 (6+8 pin), or the regular MSI GTX 970 (6+6) i recommend you get the Gaming 4G edition.

After visiting a local store near me, and getting a lot of opinions and ideas I have finally gotten my final choices of upgrades, tomorrow I will take my PC to the store and they will install the new parts on the same day with a 1 year warranty on all parts for just £50 as I would be gutted to break it if I do it myself.

Thank you all on this thread for the suggestions and help.

If you're interested in knowing what I went for just for a nice boost of quality on all games I went for:

Processor: Intel i5 6600k
Graphics: MSI 4GB Geforce GTX 970 Overclocked
Motherboard: MSI B150 Tomahawk SKT 1151
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2133 Crucial Ram (I heard Crucial Ram is bad but I have a life time warranty on it)
Hardrive: 1TB Seagate SATA-600 7200RPM
Windows 10 64 Bit

Power supply, optical drive, and my old hard drive are all being kept in so I will have 2 hard drives instead of one.

Make sure the MSI GTX970 is their TwinFrozr version, and not the reference model. The TwinFrozr has higher clocks and a better cooler and is silent.

Crucial Memory is perfectly fine. There are only so many manufacturers of memory the big 3 being SKHynix, Kingston, Micron - Crucial is the retail arm of Micron.

Other than that, looks great!

The parts are coming in tomorrow so there is no way for me to change up the order now unless I wait another week or so, and by that time this PC may explode on me I don't think I got the TwinFrozr but is it such a huge difference?
