My first N.D.E. and... robbed by the cops?

Hello everyone,

first off, i've just completed a few hours game on the server after having an insane amount of fun, with other players and a friend of mine. Love this game, and Altis Life UK!

That said i have a brief story and a question!

I was driving my truck, following a friend of mine, when at some point, a police car crashed into my friend's truck. He stopped abruptly and i crashed into him. My character's heart stopped pumping and there i was, just one km out of Kavala, unconscious and near death.

Luckily, a medic - called by the cops, i think - was online, and revived me.

I regained consciousness, the cops were gone. After realizing what happened (my character really saw the light at the end of the tunnel), i open my inventory and... SURPRISEEEE!!!

Of my 98.000 pounds i had.. well, it remained 0. Yeah, ZERO. xD

Now, my question is:

is it normal to lose all the money in a case like this (i thought when you were revived you were not going to loose your stuff) or...

Cops  just stole all my money while i was unconscious and near death?

I ask you because i'm pretty noob and before complaining at the police station i would like to know if it's a game mechanic or i have been really robbed by public officers.

Money and Virtual items i.e pickaxes or apples drop upon being unconscious and anyone can pick them up @Davide

When you die, a bit like what Sir Liam said above. When you die, all virtual Items can be picked up by anyone. 

The money you have on you, so for example I have 17 million in my bank, and I take £3,000 out, and I crash my car, then it would lie on the ground in a money pile. Crouch down and press Windows Key to get it. If you want to get your virtual items back, press windows key on that as well. Some things may have disappeared since someone has nicked it . Hope that solves it.

Auch! Well like already explained above you drop your money which can be picked up by anyone! So maybe one of the kavala hobo's took it, or maybe an officer who just spend all his money on crumpets and coffee . The next time keep your money on the bank, if you are not using it, than you won't lose it.

Thanks for the answers yeah i usually put my money in the Bank, but i was just coming back from a copper mining job.

i highly hope the cops got my money at this point, or somewhere on the street north of Kavala 98k pounds have been abandoned on the road for nothing.. 8)

I'll remember to check out my surroundings next time i get revived then )
