I understand why you can see this was bad roleplay, but could you argue that if they put they're hands up they can roleplay after that because if they don't comply and call backup then surely that will just lead to a gunfight aswell?

Why would several armed officers put their hands up because a hobo came along with an MK20 (HOLSTERED THROUGHOUT) and told them to do so? If they put their hands up EVERY time they were told to, they would never get anywhere. If anything, not only is this shit RP, it's a lack of value for his own life (the hobo)

So anyone can just do this to shoot a whole bunch of people (notice I didnt say police as it applies to them too)? I think not.

Maybe because we had 9 people in the area with better weapons.

 
This happens way too much. The last time we as cops have a lot of problems with some gangs. When we are doing a checkpoint they start coming with hatchbacks and the first thing they say when we say "Hello we are doing a  checkpoint, could i get your license registration please" "Put your hands up you're surrounded" or "hands up or you will die". They don't even try to roleplay anything.

And in this situation the officer did the right thing.

If the police had complied there would not have been a gunfight?

I did say that i had people in the area i also warned many times around 4 times actually and if they failed to comply they would be shot all we wanted was too stop the checkpoint there wasn't really a need in a gunfight we just wanted the checkpoint to stop itself.

He asked for a warning shot or some confirmation. If you can't SEE 9 people with long-ranges scopes on a hill, then why would you assume they exist? It's ridiculous longer range scopes are even sold on the server IMO

EDIT: Obvious exceptions are certain operations like bank ops etc

Probably the worst excuse I've every heard, so because of that, you guys couldn't have all just come in from all sites, sorrounding the checkpoint and all the officers, and really badass like forced all the police on the ground? instead you send a single guy while you guys are setup throughout the place. ONE guy to tell 6 fully armed officers to surrender, because he tells them to?

I do believe Papa Smurf made the police aware that there was multiple men in the area

 
Now I hope that people realise how annoyed Me, Patchwork and Houston were when this took place.

They're not even that long range tbh. More medium ranged especially when compared to the sniper scopes.

As shown in the video Houston attempted to roleplay with the guy, I was stood to Houston's right by the police sporty, I was about to come over and join in the roleplay with Houston. Next thing I know Houston is laid on the floor with a 7.62 round in his head...
