Quick description of what happened:

Last night I spent an inordinate amount of time filling my shiny new Tempest (thanks blr.Dogs!) with unprocessed diamonds. An external variable (henceforth referred to as 'She') began a campaign of nagging to bully me into rushing off to see Pride (actually a good film, I'd recommend it) forcing me to stow my vehicle in Athira and leave for the evening. 

I checked back this morning to find my vehicle completely empty, and proceeded to let out a Chewbecca-esque pain-howl.

I'm not sure this qualifies as a compensation request. It may be a known 'thing' that items stored in vehicles aren't saved, and if that's the case at least I've learned a pricey lesson, but with recent issues (don't know if it's server-side or my piss-poor internet) I thought it best to find out.
