At the moment, the underground train stations are not used at all, and if they're used, it is to drive through with a motorcycle and escape from police. My suggestion is to bring in the train/underground back in the city. Newer players won't have to run 30 minutes in order to find a car then, and use a train to go around the city. A train can also be used to make new contacts, or do illegal trades whilst being on the move.

Pro's
+ More RP scenario's possible
+ Free transport for players, in order to avoid running all over the city
+ Rebels can use trains to make illegal trades
+ Police can use trains to rp as BTP
+ People will be more careful to go through tunnels

Con's
- Might create lag
- Dev team probably will need to program the trains to stop as well
- People will have more issues with driving through tunnels

maybe this must be implemented since she's got some amazing valid points tbh. 

 
Good idea, could also be used as an RP job like conductor / train driver on some of the tycoon servers? But obviously with time requirements at the stations so people can get on / off and you don’t end up speed running it. Would be cool to see implemented.

 
The great train robbery? 

The train could carry diamonds or gold bullion or anything else you can think of. In its simplest terms players would have to stop the train somehow and then break into the right carriage and unload said goods into a waiting vehicle and make off with the loot. 

If you want to make it more elaborate then possibly add some precursor steps like they need to get a guard uniform or some way of obtaining information on which train car is carrying the goods so there may be a computer to hack somewhere else which gives them the access to the information then they have to get to the train within a specified time and stop it and unload it and make off with the gooda as above. 

Adding a couple of extra steps like this would make it more like a proper heist than just "see train, rob train" type of affair. 

There would possibly be an npc to bribe to get information maybe or guards on the train to be handled. 

If you want to spice things up even more allow other people to  sign on as train guards for the day and have them go on duty on the train and do laps of the island to get paid. This would allow other rp opportunities for more players.

Just so we are clear. From what I read the suggesten is a passenger train not a cargo train. And possible train is opererted by people and not AI. And is more like a metro that go underground around so people don't have to steal cars. If you have a new suggesten to add cargo train that can be rob please make a new one 😊

Interesting idea and fundimentally possible, moving to accepted - no timeframe as this will take some work, not a priority and not done before (properly) on the FiveM scene.
