I have been wondering for a while now how one should handle a more aggressive initiation. If I and my bud is doing stuff (of the more questionable kind) and want no one around/get close, (I mean within 200-500m) Can I then fire one or two intentionally missing shots (or warning shots if you may) at their feet or above their head to scare 'em off or if they presist to crawl/walk/run towards us still kill them? 

 
Initiation has to be verbal. The only exception to this is a heli. This is a RP server and thus RP is one of the more prominent things to do. It;s ok having a back-up plan. I.E a few guys as lookouts. But you need to inform people verbally with information. Shooting at them is classed as RDM if you haven't told them that they would be killed, as RDM stands for Random Death Match. So shooting at them over 200m away is seen as  rdm as no warnings were giving. 

What most people do is have one unarmed or a few armed people telling people to surrender and such. To be safe, always talk and give verbal warnings. They are the only acceptably source of initiation. 

 
(2.2) RDM - Random Death Match Definition: Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban)

If you decide to shoot shots at someone to scare them as you said without any quality form of roleplay then it could be taken as RDM.

 
What if I shoot (obviously no one gets hurt) but the victim draws a gun in response and starts shooting back (not necessarily in the right direction)?

Wouldn't that be classed as retaliation and consenting to the fight? 

P.S. If one compensates the fallen with cash afterwards... would that be OK?

No, you've randomly shot at them (in there eyes) and is still classed as RDM. They are protecting themselves from what they believe is a RDM'ing member of this community.
