Unlike most businesses within the city, Legion Bean Machine does not have any lockable backrooms, or kitchen. This means that staff are required to prepare and cook food behind the counter which is open to the public. Without any form of on site storage or parking, we need to drop items from our pockets on the floor while we cook to make space for ingredients.
Due to the location, we are in a prime spot for new members of the community and while that often works well for us, bringing foot traffic and custom, as we all know, not all of our citizens join with the best intentions and so on what is almost a daily basis, our staff have to deal with "baldies" either stealing items from us off of the floor, running behind the counter interrupting business or even riding bikes/motorcycles behind the counter causing harm to employees. All of which I would say are highly unrealistic events for a cafe.
In an ideal world, we would ask for an update to the premises to provide some kind of kitchen, office and storage space, however that is likely an unrealistic ask at this point. Instead, I would like to ask to have lockable saloon style doors added to each end of the counter, similar to those in Up N Atom. This will provide an element of security for our staff while they carry out their work but still allow for strong RP to take place, whether that's run of the mill conversation and sales, or a more genuine robbery carried out in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
