Liquid's new(ish) PC!

A tiny amount of games even support HT and even the witcher 3 doesn't even use all 8 cores

The only real benefit of an i7 is video editing.
And game capture/recording, you can spare more CPU time for compression as you record!

Yea basicly. It does not directly effect game performance. But well its pretty important for you :p . It basicly better for rendering and shit :p

Like I said..  I highly doubt any games support hyperthreading yet so far, but a bit further down the road, say, a year or two... Repeat after me: i7 is futureproof

Nah game Dev's are lazy even today 90% of them can't be arsed to even bother with dual core optimization and we've had multi core processors along time now, I think we'll be waiting a bit longer than a couple of years before they bother with 8 core by which time i7 will be todays core2quad.

Currently even an Ivy Bridge i5 3570k runs any game on the market as good as (better in a lot of cases) than any i7.

Looking good, especially the c/gpu   I'd invest in a bigger power supply tho (800-850W). You're probably going to use the very same one for your next build. Who knows, you might wanna try out SLI/OC in the future? A good power supply'll keep all your components in good condition. Also the cpu cooler / OA cooling's nothing you want to go mingy on, especially not if OC & during summers like this lol :Crying2:  Also noticed your additional soundcard? There's a 8ch soundcard integrated in your motherboard in case you didn't know. Keep it up & GL ;)

Much love
