All the years i've been in this community, i've never once thought about writing a goodbye post in this section, ever. But here we are. For the people who don't know me, I play mainly a character named Samantha on the server and she has been in the city for 3-4 years I think. I believe I have experienced almost everything the server has to offer, both the legal and illegal side. From being in an OCG called Vagos, getting lifed off in prison, working at a mechanic shop Auto Exotics, managing the San Andreas Gallery of Modern Arts, being a core member of The Firm, I have also made several other characters trying out different RP like Lily who joined the NHS, and Monty a male character who is a photographer/designer and wanted to make his own gang.
Even though i've never been in the Recommend a Roleplayer section or anything like that, I believe I have tried to roleplay my character(s) to the best of my abilities. I don't intend it to be a secret, but Samantha and myself IRL are two seperate people. I think this is the best time to clear some things up and make it apparent to everyone, (even though I dont have to but personally I think its cool), I am a genuine male IRL playing the female character Samantha, i'm not trans or use a voice changer etc. Its definitely a wild experience playing a gender and a person that is not you, at first I made her as a joke but I slowly got the hang of it and decided to properly roleplay her. Her personality and thoughts are most definitely similar to me, but not ever the same. Sometimes in game feelings leak OOC etc, but I do try my best to remind myself everytime that my character is not me, and I am not my character, be it getting harrassed by people like getting called a trans slur, or love interests from in game relationships. It definitely is difficult to separate yourself, but at the end of the day, I am not female and I have absolutely no idea what females go through in their life, I did get to experience maybe a virtual scenario of it, but thats never the real deal. I did manage to experience pregnancy roleplay (but never finished it due to leaving), I literally had to wing it because I dont know what its like xD. It was fun though, being someone who i'm not and seeing the world from their eyes. The main reason why I dont really tell people my gender IRL is to have a genuine Roleplay experience because sometimes people change the way they talk to you if they know who you are IRL.
Oh god now we get to the point where I have to mention and tag everyone huh ? I dont think I can do that. I have met so many people and roleplayed with so many of you, I dont think its fair if I just mention a couple people and the others dont get tagged. Its simpler if you think you have anything to share with me you can just reply under this thread. Every single one of you are amazing roleplayers, you guys are the reason why I've been in this community for so long and have had lots of fun. Thank you so much for all the memories. (Samanthas yearly christmas cards might not happen this year im sorry )
If you would like to reach out to me please dont hesitate to send me a DM on the forums, or you can add my discord ( ravenzzz ). If I can find the time, of course im down to do other stuff like movies or games together with people, or if you just want someone to chat with. Once again, thank you all so much, lots of love <3 .
